If you were to go that route and compare almost any future casting choices for Marvel characters against Jackmans' height; they are all gonna seem small, relatively speaking.
Well see the only character that I believe should be naturally taller than Jackman and just a hell of alot bigger, is Thor.
Banner, Stark, Capi, Pym, etc...All smaller than Wolverine.
An Asguardian War God just sounds like something larger than life, something larger than Wolverine.
Personally, I'd prefer a younger guy (because the script requires it), of Scandinavian descent, who has a decent and credible body of acting work behind him. With that, I'm still sticking with Alexander Skarsgard.
Honestly I like your choice.
Not completely, but I kinda see where you're going by picking him.
He's got the right stature, his acting is good enough and he's got the Scandinavian heritage.
Plus he's got the AMAZING Stellan Skarsgard for a dad.
What I don't like about him, is the very lean physique that wreaks of Brad Pitt in
TROY.
Small yet defined arms, very compact torso, a wide back with no volume...
I honestly think he'd look too delicate in the outfit.
He isn't menacing AT ALL and looks like the guy Stark and Banner would pick on

t:
For me Thor needs to be the muscle of the group, that's what he was in the comic since The Hulk kept leaving.
I dissagree.
As I've said before, Kevin may be 50, but he looks 35.
Ultimate Thor looks to be in the same age range as Kevin.
A man with
some mileage, but not worn out, that has a great deal of character in his mug.
Scary yet charming.
Once again, you base that completely on his body of work in the wrestling arena - and I understand how by doing that he would automatically be disqualified for playing Thor.
I've said it here many times, most wrestlers ARE in fact very bad actors.
Kevin doesn't fit in that category.
He is an anomaly amongst them.
A guy that despite being surrounded by those guys for 20 years, somehow managed to create some genuine acting skills.
If given the opportunity, Kevin could prove himself as an actor and surpass people's generally negative attitude towards the idea of him leading a film.
Steve Austin had his chance. Kane had his chance. John Cena had his chance. Triple H had his chance.
All WWE, All failed attempts at acting.
If Kevin gets a chance, I don't see him failing.
