Cool. I cringed at seeing "wreck havoc" in a professional article that was presumably proofread by another professional, but it's cool that Green's a Thor fan.

Has anyone seen his Mjolnir tattoo? Is it Marvel's Mjolnir or the mythological one? I've seen lots of the latter but never the former.

Ok, so I am up to speed on the regular Thor book. But where did Thor's hammer get damaged? Where did Loki return to his male body? Where does the Thor annual fit into the current story line? Do I need to buy Williams Battle one shot or whatever its called?

ah. so your not up to speed on the regular Thor book :whatever: the hammer was damaged in 600 with the battle with thor's grandfather. loki's return to his own body happened just recently (in Thor's book anyway). Not sure about the annual

Thor's hammer was broken in his battle with Bor in Thor #600. Loki returned to his male body after Sif was restored to hers in Thor #602, I think. The annual seems to fit in right around the point that Thor was exiled, since he's still brooding about killing Bor in that. I believe the "William's Battle" thing is actually in the Thor: Defining Moments one-shot, which is basically the last issue of JMS' run, so yeah, it's probably important.

Thank you. Going to run out & get that William Battle issue thing. SO far, so good. Ok, I reread THOR #600 & I got the broken hammer thing. But in issue #602, there is no explanation as to WHY or HOW Loki returns to his male body. SIF returns to her body after the death of Rose Chambers, then all of a sudden , Loki is talking to DOOM in his castle!

I don't think it's out yet. Thor: Defining Moments comes out sometime in November, I believe.

Yeah, Loki's actual transformation happens off-panel, but we are to assume it is somewhere between the end of #601 and the beginning of #602. It's been a while since I've read #602 myself, but I believe there's a scene where the old lady Sif's spirit is inhabiting goes through a girevous shock to her system. Though we see it from her perspective, this is the moment where Loki leaves Sif's body.

Yeah, that was a bit awkward. JMS probably would've fleshed it out a bit more if his run weren't ungodly late already.

So i heard there may be a new writer on Thor, true?

Yeah, I'm not really happy about this. I mean I'm going to have shell out five bucks for something that has mostly reprint crap in it I don't want just for Bill? Not pleased, not pleased at all. :argh:

SO Loki was in Rose Chambers body with Lady Sif? WAT????????

No, Loki stole Sif's godly form, leaving Sif's spirit stranded inside the mortal body of Rose Chambers, with no way of escaping. When Loki relinquished Sif's body, it returned to inhabiting Rose Chambers, but the shock of such a surge of power was the last straw for the already mortally-ill Rose. However, before she died, Thor showed up, and was able to release Sif's body (now reunited with her spirit) from within Rose.

So Sif is back with her body and spirit reunited, Rose is dead, and Loki is walking around as a dude again, having ditched Sif's body.

The Bill subplot is garbage. No need for it. By the way for those who read the article on boxer Allan Green, he won his fight :)

It's needed because the theme of JMS' entire run has been the relationship between god and man. Bill provides the "man" perspective and is currently showing that good, honorable men aren't so different from good, honorable gods. Sometimes they may even be better.

Kelda certainly seems to think so. Although, it seems like she's the town strumpet in Asgard. Every time someone mentions her name, like 3 dudes go, "Aaah, Kelda." That is not the kind of reaction you get because people think you're a nice person or you have pretty eyes or whatever.

I cheered. 'Cause if Bill had handled 3 Asgardian warriors by himself, that'd be it. JMS would officially be crazy.

The fact that he parried the first 2 or 3 sword swings was amazing. He held out as long as he could :o

That's fair. I mean, Asgardian martial arts aren't exactly the pinnacle of fighting forms. But it's one untrained dude against 3 at least moderately trained guys who are each at least 100 times stronger and tougher than he is. Shang-Chi's probably the only totally unpowered human being who's surviving that.
