One thing I can't figure out is why people want The Lizard as the only villain. Because Spider-Man 3 had 3 villains and the movie didn't work out so well? Give me a break. If they hadn't focused too much on Peter and MJ's relationship and had given Sandman and Eddie Brock more screentime and less with Harry's, I think more people would have been happy. Too many villains or storylines wasn't the main problem to me, the main problem was that so many unnecessary scenes.

Plus, Lizard isn't like Green Goblin and Doc Ock, they can easily carry a film by themselves and they are also Spidey's greatest foes. It will be much better and alot more interesting if they brought in Kraven or somebody else.

Two villains can work if the story is probably paced and as long as they plan it and have the villains connected to each other and not throw in in some villain like Venom in the last second just to please fans. And have the main focus on the villains now.

By the way, I think Lizard and Kraven will be ok I guess. But I hope they have other villains in the beginning of the film like Shocker and Chameleon robbing a bank and Spidey stops them and then later on we see Chameleon helping Kraven get all the stuff he needs to hunt down Spider-Man or Lizard and it's also mentioned that they are half-brothers. Or, they could build up another villain for the sequel like having Adrian Toomes sponsoring Doctor Connors experiment to regrow lost body parts.

Just an idea.

You need some humanity on the screen to make things interesting (this is why Raimi always has Spider-man's mask come off). Otherwise, it's 2 hours of Spider-man fighting a CGI Lizard. It wouldn't work.

Holy crap, he definitely has the look. I haven't seen any of his stuff though. Can he act? That's what I care about more than looks. As long as he can act well, and can capture the spirit of Kraven, I can care less if he really looks the part.

5. Harry's make was retractable.

You can't show Connors underneath The Lizard, therefore there should be someone else there.

I agree with that.
That's the reason why I dont see Lizard being on this movie.

Perhaps the lizard does not need to show any humanity, just a feral creature that is driven by instinct. This would add weight to the non-recognizable face, making conners and the lizard two seperate entities.

Conners trying to take control of the lizard internally could be the plot turning point.

If you have a villain such as Kraven to catalyse this, it would make for some great story telling. Spider-Man trying to save Conners as Kraven wants to kill the lizard.

the third act being Kraven versus the Lizard as Spider-Man tries to dig himself out of a grave Kraven put him in.

A great teaser poster would be a tombstone with Spider-Man's name on it, it would capture a viewer's imagination and definitely confirm the villain for the fans.

Connors himself, is the embodiment of humanity, and the GA will see that, through Lizard beastly persona. There is no need to show his face, just to capture that.

Who says The Lizard would be CG anyways? They can do a man in prosthetics, maybe with some slight CG enhancement. You can show Connors underneath it if done right. However, I'd like to see Kraven come into the mix along with The Lizard. My idea would be to have The Lizard wreak havoc, have Spider-Man unable to subdue him, then Kraven enters to finish what Spider-Man can't. Something happens, causing Kraven to hunt down Spider-Man. I would be happy with a similar set-up.

Be kinda cool if the final battle was inside of a prison where spidey has put thugs and super villains in.The Lizard could exit the sewers onto the prison grounds where spidey follows.

Then Kraven releases all the prisoners to keep spidey busy while he can kill the Lizard.And all the thugs and super villains that spidey has put away are there.Four super villains could be there in special cells because of their abilites.
The four super villains could be:

-Hydro Man

-Carnage (A sample of the symbiote was in the pocket of Dr. Connor's jacket when he is the Lizard,and when it falls out of his pocket during a fight,the vial breaks and the symbiote attaches itself to the closest host that it comes in contact with,Cletus Kassidy).

[blackout] -Shocker [/blackout],He runs to the storage room to get his high tech weapons.

-Rhino


And there not teaming up,they just all want spidey dead,and there all trying to do it themselves at the same time.

Then you can see JJ saying what the next story is gonna be,page 1 "Spidey vs The Sinister Six"

Body shots could totally be prosthetics. Action sequences would probably be CG, but that's normal. I mean, it's not like he turns into the Hulk, so they could totally pull of having a guy covered in make-up and stuff. I mean, a perfect example of this would be the Aliens from the Alien franchise, and Wink (along with other great creatures) from Hellboy II. All done practically.

tell you the truth i never watch for his acting so i cant really judge he is an amazing stunt guy with sick fight scenes he is basically like ray park

The idea of Kraven and The Lizard (and Kraven burying Spidey alive to get Lizard alone) is good. I was originally against The Lizard as a villain idea, but with Kraven and an appropriate actor could be fantastic. I'd love a cameo though, Shocker as a bank robber or Mysterio doing something with his illusions, but quickly apprehended (with broken fishbowl, showing it to be Bruce Campbell unable to keep a steady job ) or something similar.

And as for Raimi wishing to redeem himself of sorts for Spidey 3, I'd love something like, at the end of 4 having the symbiote appear beside a jail, and it starts forming a body and we hear screams as both Venom (appearing much bigger, built, more demon like, long tongue, striking distorted eyes) and Brock (His face appearing once or twice) forms from it, talking as both the Symbiote and himself (using "we" a lot) and at one point in the reform, the symbiote bulges and cracks and splits and a piece enters a crack the building and latches onto Kletus Kassady, perhaps oozing into a self inflicted wound maybe and forming Carnage. I hope Raimi could make 5 a horro like movie with a serial killing Carnage on the loose getting away with as much as possible in terms of adult themes. (I'd love Robert Knepper in the Kassady role. I can picture it already)


Sorry about the lengthy post. And I understand people being against any resurrections or how the symbiote reforming or saving Brock is out of canon or so, but I'd accept this and would make me excited for a return of the Symbiotes.

The only one I see working is Shocker. People would be confused on Rhino & Hydro Man (how'd they get their powers & for Rhino why is he still in the suit) & Carnage needs more plot.
