How are they going to explain what Ock was doing all along? They can't just have him randomly appear. That's why I think it would be beneficial if Marvel/Sony shared some rights to concepts like the SHIELD, where Octavius would have continued with his research. Doesn't mean Nick Fury needs to show up, but it would be one viable explanation. Of course they can just make some secret scientific/criminal organization up for the film's sake, but it is better they use things within the Marvel Universe.

I like both those ideas, SHIELD and the secret underground crime ring.
I was thinking the whole time Ock could have been watching Spider-Man, finding other super criminals, and planning his ultimate revenge... The Sinister Six.
Bringing a team of super criminals together to finally and painfully kill Spider-Man once and for all.
I think showing that Ock didn't JUST come back from the dead at the start of the 6th film would be an important point in the movie. To show that Ock was alive during part 3.

i really hope its not Mysterio, I cant see how he could be re-designed for a major film because you know no one in today's world would believe that Spider-Man's biggest threat was a guy who wears a fishbowl on his head. I would prefer to see Lizard or Electro or someone else.

I think if Electro is the choice then there could be an epic battle between him & spidey in Times Square which would be great to see

Because 1 + 1 will probably = 0.
If they combine both characters into one then fans of either will loose their character, and the outcome wont be as good probably.

Personally I wouldn't want that, I don't know about anyone else.
Maybe they could have them working together.
Or maybe I am wrong and it would be OK, but i would miss them being two people instead of one.

Also, lots of people complain about his fish bowl head, but I don't think that makes him any less realistic or threatening as he goes up against a guy in red and blue spandex who has spider-powers.
Its purposely a over the top costume to distract from his lack of any real power.
Ok, that was just me ranting is all.

I could find a reason why any one of Spider-man's enemies would work in the movies, Mysterio, Chameleon, Electrro, Kraven, the Lizard, Vulture...

movie Mysterio's costume:
I have an idea how to explain, in the movie, Mysterio's odd costume.
May contain spoilers about Mysterio

In the comic he tells how he disguised himself as Spider-Man, creating devices to make him look like the real Spider-Man and give him Spidey's powers.
But once he had framed Spider-Man he decided to create a superhero persona to swoop in, stop Spider-Man and save the day.
He designs his costume sort of mimicking Spider-Man's.
Everything Spider-Man can do he can do too, artificially.
His bubble dome head is based on Spider-Man's one way mirrored eyelets. His smoke gloves are based on Spidey's web shooters (in the movie it would be more like he invented an artificial way to do what Peter can do naturally).

His checkered costume could be based on Spider-Man's design too.

What if Mysterio's costume was made like Spider-Man's for the movie, the raised web design would just be made black but still raised and made more like checked lines.
Maybe if someone could photoshop a Spider-Man movie costume (making the red greed, and darkening the spider-web design.)

Anyway, his outlandish costume would be because he was just trying to upstage Spider-Man

It could work out well if they combined the Mysterio and Chameleon character.Since Mysterio is all about glitter and glam,it would even make Kraven's costume make sense.Because if you did combine Mysterio and Chameleon's character,then that will make him and Kraven brothers.

Then you can have Mysterio be the host of a game show that airs all over everyones t.v. on every channel,where Kraven the Hunter is hunting down spider-man in the city.

Then have Kraven bring knocked out spidey to Mysterio's lair where Mysterio creates a jungle illusion for Kraven to kill spidey.

Then when Kraven is killed,have Mysterio become so angry that the jungle illusion disappears and a Hell illusion appears where lava,fire and brimstone,etc.for the final battle.

Then at the end of the battle show why Mysterio is under the fishbowl,he was born deformed.

Then in SM5 you can have him escape from jail and show him use different ways to do things.Where he becomes known as the Chameleon.He wants revenge for his brother's death.

i could see Michael Papajohn playing Maxwell Dillon. he's been working w/Kingpin the whole time. he's been locked up since Spidey 1 and finally is released. during his time he's seen Spidey on the tv on the news. he can put a face to Spidey's secret identity but not a name. he still bent on revenge of killing Spidey. having a hard time landing a job b/c Kingpin refuses to help him out he finds something w/an electrical company as a high wired tech guy and one stormy day there's a blackout it happens to be at Gwen's house where Peter is studying w/her for the final exam. the whole street blacks out due to the violent lightning storm. Maxwell is called to the scene to see the amount of damage. he climbs a post to see if there was any damage to a transformer on a post. Peter steps out of Gwen's house to roll up his windows to his new hooptie (got rid of the scooter) b/c it looks like its gonna rain. the moment Maxwell sees peter he starts to desend the post when Peter's Spidey senses go off. he turns his head sees the electricity tech starting to descend. a bolt of lightning electrocutes power lines and the transformers and Maxwell. Peter starts to run to him not getting a chance to recognize who he is due to his hard hat and attire the man disappears in a flash of lightning thru the powerlines. Peter is shocked (no pun intended) and wonder is he died? Then you can let you're imagine run wild as to what happens but eventually Electro meets Kingpin and agree to help kill Spider-Man.

i know 3 villains didn't work last time around but just to add on to my Electro idea....

since we haven't gotten Lizard in yet i would introduce him this way for Spidey 4. After the Maxwell turned Electro incident Gwen and Peter pass the exam w/flying colors and graduate. Dr. Connors personally congratulates Peter with a science award and after graduation Dr. Connors tells Peter about his discoverey of rejuvenation. he agrees to meet him in his lab the next day after the night of a graduation party. next day Dr. Connors shows Peter his proof of success w/a chimp that was missing a finger but now has grown it back due to his new serum. the chimp acts strange when he sees Parker. it firsts attaches himself to him then starts to act like Spider-Man by acting like he's shooting web out of his wrist and swinging around climbing walls with it's own chimp abilities. it doesn't make sense until Dr. Connors explained how the serum couldn't have been done w/the sample of the symbiote and reptile DNA from Spidey 3. Peter warns him about the implications it could cause. Dr. Connors says he's well aware of it and plans to demonstrate his first human test subject publicly guaranteeing success. Peter lets J.Jonah Jameson know of Dr. Connors medical breakthrough and agrees (since Peter has a little more pull now thanks to his new position)for him to take photos of the big event. Gwen accompanies Peter. At the event Dr. Connors talks about how the serum is the end of prosthetics, walking canes, wheelchairs etc. He injects himself w/the serum and something goes horribly wrong. he transforms into the Lizard and off he goes into the sewer for refuge. now there would be battles with Spidey trying to save Lizard. Lizard would know off the top who Spidey was b/c of the serum but halfway (and one time before that) his battle are mostly w/Electro.

cliffhangers would consist of Doc Ock's return (showing him working w/Kingpin to make laser like weapons w/almost unlimited ammo due to his creation from Spidey 2 which works off tridium)

Kingpin would have a few shadowy man behind the curtain appearances

Enter Sinister 6 at the end of Spidey 5

just the route i would go if i had any say in it

that'd be pretty awesome with the mysterio idea. even tho i really don't see how they could make a whole movie about him. still think they need to make a sinister 6 2-part movie with him being one of the 6

4 should still be about lizard and hopefully kraven

Lizard Mainly, probably not Carnage IMO, that's what missed up the 3rd film was the unreal feeling of the whole thing (Sandman/Venom)

so if they do a second villain along with lizard i'd say Kraven or maybe Vulture


it'd also be cool to maybe say something about Nick Fury in the film to better connect all the marvel universe, once in the comics, Fury told spidey that once he was of age he had no choice but to join shield or something, that'd be so awesome if they did that, Sam Jackson did sign a 9 film contract with marvel so it's possible, probably wont happen, but no harm in dreaming.

Speaking of which, my on friend asked a good question yesterday. Would Raimi somehow interpret Brand New Day or One More Day into the movies? If he did I think it would be a bad idea, but what about you guys thoughts on it?

i would think manwolf lizard and kraven or just two of those three, if its wolf and lizard, they are having like territoial battles casing a lot of damage, and worse lizard kidknap gwen when she goes to visit him and finds a whole in th wall, and manwolf remebering john's relationship with mj kidknaps her, so spideys got to save both of them and not kill but turn back the two villains

Well, he has had a pretty good amounto f development and I think he's been experimenting in all 3 films, honestly. Obviously, we didn't see it, but still. We'd probably see more of it towards the beginning of S-M4 if the Villian actually is the Lizard.
