We definitely need the fantasticar. It's iconic. I'm hoping for HERBIE too.

I hated Herbie when he was first introduced in the cartoon, but after John Byrne integrated him into the comic-book, he started to grow on me.

I'd love to see a scene with Ben punching the snot out of him. :funny:

Here's a shot of the prototype in Reed's shop from a deleted scene in FF 2005:

It's funny how close those 2015 designs are to BB-8.

While I hate to complement anything associated with that film, I think the designs are sort of cool.

That's probably why they didn't make it into the film. :funny:

Those are cool. It would be awesome to set up Herbie only for doom to crush him when he makes his big entrance

I hope that Marvel makes Sue just as fun as the others. She's the glue of the team, but she shouldn't be a nagging killjoy. Let her have some sarcastic jokes and have some fun with her invisibility powers, like most people would if they could do what she could.

Every Fox film had her completely devoid of any personality or charm.

Yeah, both versions have been frustratingly bad and not even vaguely likable.

Sue should also be a badass and a little a bit scary since y'know she is the most powerful member of the group.

One of my favorite Sue Storm moments.

Sue Storm is the last person you ever want to get on their bad side.

She seems more like Malice there. Are you sure she was acting in character? Sue wouldn't normally behave or think like that.

Eh, at best she's kind of toying with him. But then again you wouldn't be all roses and rainbows to a guy that attempted to murder you and all you care about either.

Here's another display of her badassery.

No she was just kidnapped by him and his goons and very pissed about it at that time. I think she's the member most likely to kill a villain if they go too far, especially if they target her kids.

While she is badass (which is something that should be in the film), I'm talking more about team dynamics. Outside of a combat situation I don't want her to be the nagging mother/housewife that Hollywood loves portraying wives and mothers as. She keeps the others in line and focused on the bigger picture, but it should be in a way that makes her a bore. She should be just as excited and involved in the adventure, jokes and all that fun stuff.

It would be so much fun if they did fantastic four like the rocky horror picture show with Sue and Reed as Janet and Brad and Annihilius there to f**k with their minds

I remember an issue where Sue threatens to create force field bubbles in Doom's blood stream.

You don't mess with Sue. Woman has been through too much to put up with your villainous ********.

I keep circling around the charisma of a Theron combined with the humor and comic timing of a Sarah Chalke.

Honestly, to really satisfy me, Sue's casting is going to be the hardest to pull off.

Yeah, I think Sue is pretty tough, and I'm a little afraid they'll prioritize looks over important elements.

we need more villians with them in one movie, maybe
Hulk , spiderman , ghost rider , dr strange and thor?

could make something great.

Alexis Denisof - Reed Richards

Just a few random picks, what you think?

I definitely wouldn't cast McKenzie as Ben Grimm. He just doesn't fit. McKenzie seems more like a better fit for Reed Richards than everybody's favorite orange big blue-eyed rock dude. When I think of Ben Grimm and the qualities the actor needs to possess to match I kind of think of a hardened tough guy of sorts(Mckenzie does an adequate job portraying Jim Gordon in Gotham but I still don't think he can pull off The Thing's brand of toughness).

Even though this actor isn't Jewish I kind of imagine more of a Jeffrey Dean Morgan-type for Ben Grimm. Montgomery I can kind of see him as Johnny but I would rather go with someone else. The rest of the casting is pretty good.

I posted this on another thread:

Here's a casting call for a possible Fantastic Four MCU reboot:

Disclaimer: I am not a casting director, this is a character breakdown made purely for amusement.

RONALD- Male,Caucasian,24-29. A quirky,absent-minded genius. Ronald is a quiet, thoughtful young man with great leadership skills. He possesses an awkward, goofy, lovable side. [LEAD]

CONNIE- Female,Asian-American,20-25.Athletic build.Calm,self-assured,loving;Connie is the "big sister" of the group. She understands logic, yet she is a fierce, independent young woman.[LEAD]

JOEY- Male,Caucasian,18-23.dirty blonde hair.A brash,impulsive,cocky guy; Connie's younger brother is a childish,hotheaded smartass. However, he's a loyal,empathic friend who uses humor to diffuse a situation.[LEAD]

BRIAN- Male,Open ethnicity,19-24.Muscular.A "tough guy" from Brooklyn, Brian is a strong-willed, smart college kid with a chip on his shoulder and a soft, kind heart. He is Joey's best friend even though he's irritated by his antics.[LEAD]

Before you go all, "Oh, you're pushing for diversity!", I just want to say I'm not saying make ALL the members of the F4 ethnic, I'm just saying the MCU reboot needs to be a different movie interpretation of the franchise. I would make Reed and Johnny white and "race-switch" Sue and Ben thus no one would complain about having an all-white cast or a cast with no Caucasian people in the lead.

Just a few random picks, what you think?

I doubt Watson would take the role but I'd love to get her into the MCU somehow.

And McKenzie I think could do well as Grimm.

I've picked some really good fan casts for the FF, Sliver Surfer, Dr. Doom and Mole Man because I basically want the MCU FF movies to be comedies just like the Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man and Spider-Man movies.
Andrew Garfield as Mr. Fantastic(I believe he'd be a bit more suited to the role than he was for Spider-Man)
Mandy Moore as the Invisible Woman.
Charlie Rowe as Human Torch
Seth Rogen as the Thing.
James Franco as Wyatt Wingfoot
Ben Stiller as HERBIE
Anabelle Acosta as Alicia Masters.
Richard Madden as the Sliver Surfer
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Dr. Doom.
Danny McBride as Mole Man(mostly because of his role in the short-lived Vice Principals where he played the mustached Neal Gamby)
