I've picked some really good fan casts for the FF, Sliver Surfer, Dr. Doom and Mole Man because I basically want the MCU FF movies to be comedies just like the Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man and Spider-Man movies.
Andrew Garfield as Mr. Fantastic(I believe he'd be a bit more suited to the role than he was for Spider-Man)
Mandy Moore as the Invisible Woman.

Why would you whitewash Wyatt Wingfoot?

I totally forgot about Charlie... I remember supporting him back when he was rumored/or fan cast for Spider-man (before Tom got the role)

I don't know why I didn't think of him for my Fantastic 4 cast (tho I don't think I've seen him in anything since Red Band, so he wasn't really fresh on my mind) is he any good in that Salvation show?

although, I don't really see Spidey and Johnny interchangeable (other then both being young) so what made him good for Spider-man doesn't really make him good for Human Torch

Do you reckon they would establish the future foundation? It's a good way to expand the universe. Hopefully it doesn't end up like tomorrowland did though

If the Fantastic Four have an onscreen origin, how about they get their powers from an experiment (in space or not) to try to reduce global warming? Would that be of comparable weight to trying to win the space race as originally?
The 2005 film already did have something about trying to get clean energy but I think it could be a lot better done.

It can maybe End with Molecule Man opening a worm hole that sends FF4 into the future to modern times. Maybe they land in modern Sokovia that would lead into a sequel that would introduce Von Doom who is a monarch of a neighbouring county (Latveria) that has invaded Sokovia.

I would love to see a simple, old-school Baxter Building.


Not only would it be cool to see the Kirby design, but it would contrast Reed's simple pragmatism with Tony's narcissistic flashiness.

Man Taika Waititi would be perfect for FF4. If 'what we do in the shadows ' is any indication, this man has a strong understanding of family dynamics with members with different personalities. I hope Feige sees this fit and secure this man's services.

I love Taika as much as the next guy but he’s a little too comedic for FF for me.

Thor Ragnarok was pretty much a comedy through and through; I don’t want a straight comedy for FF. I want something more in the vein of Ant-Man which has the right balance of humor and heart. Taika has shown he can do that with his previous movies but I feel if he was given FF he’d lean too much on the comedy.

Taika wouldn't be bad. His ability to create meaningful unique relationships would be invaluable. I don't know if bringing back directors is the MCU's style though.

It wouldn’t be unprecedented: The Russo brothers went from making two Captain America movies to doing two very big Avengers movies.

He does comedy the right way for me. Thor Ragnarok was great fun but when they did go for the dramatic moments he still nailed it. You need a director that isn't afraid to do the weird and do weird well. FF started as a psychedelic adventure comic staring a family. Get a serious direct and you get Fan 4 stick. Get a director that does campy but poorly you get the first 2 films.

Taika would be a huge upgrade on what the FF has had.

Another choice I like is James Gunn

Hasn't happened yet but I don't know if Thor gets a fourth film which would be a waste to have Taika on 1 MCU film

Ragnarok leaned heavily on comedy and quirkiness yes but it was primarily the first 2 acts. When the 3Rd act came about and the narrative called for gravitas, I thought Taika handled it beautifully with his camera work and pacing. Comedic moments then were kept to a minimum and involving situational/character moments only. Korg foundation remark may have been a bit unnecessary but I'm OK with it. Honestly probably the best 3Rd act in any superhero movie imo. I wouldn't be too worried of Taika turning something like FF into a complete jokefest because he understands when and where to tone it down particularly if the script calls for it.

Whoever they choose to direct I hope that they not only handle the family stuff well, but also the crazy adventures and action. It should be a visual spectacle that takes the audience to locations that are so interesting that they might as well be another character.
Previous FF films failed at that aspect with staying in New York 90% of the time as well as failing at the action. The Fantastic Four should have some epic action scenes and I often hear comments that their powers are boring which just shows how much Fox has failed because they're are really cool and fun when shown right.

Another choice I like is James Gunn

I like them both on their own and love the colorful Kirby-esque aesthetics of both their MCU titles, but Taika would be a way better fit for FF, I feel. There’s more innocence and absurdity in his sense of humor.

Whoever handles it has to go fully crazy Kirby with set and costumes, and know how to go as big and crazy as possible with Doom and the other bad guys.

The thing with Ragnarok is he was working with established characters. So it worked to throw some humor in with those established characters to create something a little different.

I think the introduction of new characters (particularly the FF who take the chance of being seen as campy if not done right) needs to be done a bit more seriously.

That's not to say he couldn't hit the right tone if he worked at it, but I think the first FF film needs to be at least a little more serious than Ragnarok.
