Thanks for the clip, I can see her in the role. She seems enthusiastic in whatever she does which is a really good trait and much needed.

I think Krasinski would fit well with Lily James. I think Reed and Sue need to match and not look like an odd couple. Krasinski and James would go well together.

Christian Bale has stated on record that he doesn't care for superhero movies. He's never seen any of the Marvel movies.

I’ve somehow got it in my head the only other comic book role for Bale is Simon Hurt in a never happening, totally bonkers adaptation of Grant Morrison’s Batman & Robin.

I’d like it more if they’re pretty much the same age. Something nice about them maybe meeting while they were still students in the same field.

There’s another British actress Krasinski goes together well with. Very well, some might say.

Emily Blunt doesn't have anywhere near the same natural warmth as Lily James though. And I'd want Lily in the role not Emily.

Yes. Reed was 21 and Sue was 12 when they first met and they had Reed fall for a 12 year old. They retconned that later of course.

Honestly, I don't think it would be that weird if we see Sue have a crush on a college-age Reed when she's young. 12 might be pushing it, but seeing a childhood crush blossom into a real romance isn't exactly a new thing for a story.

I think on film the age gap between Reed and Sue should be 5-9 years. Him in his mid to late 30s (early 40s at max). Her in her late 20s to early 30s.

Ben would be around Reeds age and Johnny would be in his early 20s (which would be around Spider-Man's age by the time the film comes out).

Well Byrne had Superman and Big Barda make a porno together, and She-Hulk subjected to sadistic bodily probing and forced to strip in front of SHIELD. So he wrote some weird **** but it was still somehow approved.

So it was Byrne who made Reed chase after a minor? It wasn't from an earlier story or writer in the 60s?

Age difference shouldn't be more than 8 years imo

It should be around 10 years. That gap is very common and you get the noticeable age difference issues.
