In an alternate universe, If Jon Faverau never starred in or directed the first Iron Man and instead directed the MCU Fantastic Four film I’d imagine he’d cast himself as Ben Grimm(he’d be a good fit).

I agree with what a few others have said about prefreing Oscar Isaac as Reed compared to Krasinksi.

I love Oscar Issac but I find him to be smallish in stature the same way Ioan Gruffudd seemed to me for a Mr Fantastic type. I always picture the actor being slightly more rangy so to speak. Again, just my preference but I’d be happy to have an actor of Isaacs caliber to play Reed.

That's about as "race swapped" as Pacino playing a Cuban in SCARFACE.

I would have no issue seeing Oscar as a guy with the surname Richards.

My new top choices for Reed and Sue. I really don't get the appeal of Krasinski as Reed. He just seems too.... friendly. Age-wise, I think mid 30's for Sue and late 30's - early 40's is good for Reed.

Filling out the rest of my updated cast picks. If we want someone who can play closer in age to Holland as Peter, than Elgort is the man. Personally, I prefer their dynamic more of "little brother/annoyed older brother", so Glen Powell is my favorite.

And still Seth Rogan as Ben, he's got a great voice for the part and it helps that he's actually Jewish. (And yes, I know I changed Magneto's ethnicity, but that was for story purposes)

All that's left is Doom. With Jake Gyllenhaal getting cast as Mysterio, though, I've got to get a new pick......

Instead of Yancy Street, Ben could be from Bed Stuy before the gentrifiers came in lol.

Crews would be the best choice. I’ve been saying that for months.

My #1 is still Matthias Schoenaerts, primarily because he looks like Putin but he’s the same age as Isaac so you get that nice bit of continuity. He’s a lot like Tom Hardy, actually, as in a very emotive actor who I could see (or, rather, not) working well behind the mask. Big guy too so the armor would fit nicely. He’s in that moment right now where, I think, any day now, he’ll be announced as the villain in one of these things so why not?

My #1 is still Matthias Schoenaerts, primarily because he looks like Putin but he’s the same age as Isaac so you get that nice bit of continuity. He’s a lot like Tom Hardy, actually, as in a very emotive actor who I could see (or, rather, not) working well behind the mask. Big guy too so the armor would fit nicely. He’s in that moment right now where, I think, any day now, he’ll be announced as the villain in one of these things so why not?

He also has the perfect voice. I'm down

I could see it. He was pretty good in Red Sparrow too.

I like how Krakinski looks as Reed(from the fanart I've seen) but I don’t know —he kind of comes across as friendly jock(I also think he’s too conventional movie star handsome for the part to the point I would kind of find it distracting). I think Isaac would be able to pull off the darker obsessive qualities of Reed while maintaining the patariachly leader.

Plus I don’t buy Kraksinki as a scientist. While with Isaac I can see as a shut-in scientist that buries himself deep in his work as he has shown in Ex Machina.

I like Krasinski as an actor but yeah, I can't see him as Reed for some reason. I think a lot of people just want him for Reed and his wife, Emily Blunt for Sue. It'd be fine if Marvel went that route, but I wouldn't be excited.

Oh no... I take that back, I'd prefer Blake over Anna.

I used to like Lively for Sue but now I'm a bit indecisive about that. Not a fan of Anna Kendrick for Sue though, no thanks.

Agreed. I think there could be another role for Krasinski in the MCU eventually but not Reed.

Alison Brie for Sue? Eh..maybe? I'm completely sold on Oscar Isaac for Mr. Fantastic though. It'd be perfect and makes so much sense.

He's been playing a baddie in season 1 of Timeless, and then a sort-of ally in season 2.

I thought he did pretty well in The Drop and, besides, with Doom you want an accent.
