On Reading Reviews: A Different Vision for Us?

We're gonna see a different cut. It might not be some 2 hour 15 minute version... but I bet we see something around 1:50 - 1:55 w/o credits. And I'm almost willing to bet that one difference has Cyclops actually making it to the final battle.

I agree, Nell. And it's not even about "hoping" for a different outcome, although many would prefer the version our theory is pointing to. We are just examining the evidence on a factual basis. There are different versions of this movie. Period.

To be honest I do hope that cyclops shows up for the final battle and him and Jean both die together. That would be sweet and very emotional imo. But seriously, I think that we are grasping at straws here.

I doubt the ice sliding, maybe its something small like he creates a slide when the X-men are coming out of the jet over Alcatraz. But not in the comics-sense of him sliding along it.

I also doubt Sentinels in the final battle. I DO hope Scott appears in the final battle. If that rumored dutch clip of him in uniform is true, we may just get that! If not, I just hope we see that he survived, no matter how they do it. He deserves a better death than a simple "kiss" off in the beginning.

Speculation: It would be crazy cool if, after Phoenix destroys everything and Logan tries to kill her - she would come back, andd Trask and the President decide to release the Sentinels out to take care of the Phoenix, who has not really died. And then Cyclops finally comes in and destroys tons of Sentinels (How about that for a great Cyke scene?) and then pursuades, with Love, for Jean to stop...

Why else would they have Trask? I mean, duh! He has nothing to do with the Danger Room, and I'm sure, little to do with the Cure - thats Worthington's job. So, what's left for Trask to do? Exactly.

I don't think FOX would give Cyclops such a MOMENT. Because he's not Hugh or Halle and they want to keep it that way...stupid, I know.

I think the best we can hope for is a late arrival at the final battle and dealing exclusively with Jean, or a secret scene revealing he survived the Alkali Lake scene.

That could be all the CG stuff flying around her when she uses her powers. We'll see. I really don't think people should get their hopes TOO high about Cyclops. We'll see anyway. Can't wait!

If all it is is flying items and black eyes. Buffy did that with dark willow on a TV budget. Roswell did that in an episode with Isabel in the final season. An established and excellent effects house specifcally for Phoenix means something. I think its the same company that did the Phoenix effects in X2.

It would be cool but i'm almost certain that won't happen, was never scripted or shot.
