J.Howlett said:Seriously? Without credits?
Why the huge difference between the two cuts?
Storm22 said:Darkie was adamant it was 1hr 50mins, she clocked the film without credits, said it was around 2hrs with credits.
J.Howlett said:Seriously, this close to the release, they should've locked this picture a while ago. Unless, there is two cuts to this film and they're deciding on which one they want to use.
Still, that makes no sense, considering how close we are to release.
Ursavior01 said:Storm22 do you agree with me? Don't you think that's the approx. running time that PWR said. I think Fox gave the British Film board the same version as the press screening because they had an international deadline.

Storm22 said:I really dunno what to think Ursavior! Why would the BBFC rate a press screening if that wasn't the final cut?
PhoenixRisen said:Just something new to ponder..."The 16-Minute Gap"...Director's Cut? Different versions? Hmmm...I don't think we'll know for sure until the movie comes out officially.
But wouldn't that mean troubles for FOX? I mean, What's the importance of the BBFC review? It's ok to send them a version and then release something else?Ursavior01 said:I don't think the BBFC know that that version wasn't the final cut.
I think Fox sent them a copy identical to the press screening.

J.Howlett said:16 minutes missing from one version but apparent in another is a big, freaking thing.
Did either PWR or Darkie compare notes to figure out the differences between the two?
J.Howlett said:Well, over in the UK, sometimes certain scenes that deal with action get trimmed over there instead of here.
Prime example although small, was the Jango Fett head butt of Obi-Wan in Attack of the Clones. That was edited out in the UK version while everyone else got that.
Again, small example, but that tends to happen when it comes to action beats over in the UK if they deem it too violent.
J.Howlett said:And Darkie is 100% positive that the cut he saw was 1 hour and 50 minutes without credits?
Yes. And Darkie is in my mind VERY reliable, if it were anyone else I would have doubts. I am sure she had a stopwatch with her.J.Howlett said:And Darkie is 100% positive that the cut he saw was 1 hour and 50 minutes without credits?

J.Howlett said:Oh, no doubt. All I'm saying is that it does happen at times.
Downwhere asked her some questions a couple pages back but I don't think she has posted a play-by-play analysis, which I am eager to see.J.Howlett said:Risen,
This is all very interesting. It seems Darkie is only taking PM's in her thread. As anyone over here asked her specifics and if so what was said?
