On Reading Reviews: A Different Vision for Us?

And?

You've stated you won't watch the movie at all because it's not what you think it should be...

I've never stated I wouldn't watch the movie.

We know Angel is in the final battle too, although he just rescues his father.

So I dunno about "carrying Cyclops in".

But he doesn't wear a uniform in it.

Is that even legal? Can Fox do this?
Of course they can. It's a promotional image. We see all those characters together on one big image, but that doesn't mean we'll see them altogether like that in the movie.

They've put Angel in uniform because it goes with the whole X-Men vibe. He fits in better as an X-Man in the promos. The ending sets him up as a future X-Man. If the people commenting had seen the film already, they'd realise there isn't any scope for Angel to join the X-Men and join in the final battle. He hasn't even met the X-Men by that point. He only approaches them toward the end. To have him kitted up as an X-Man beforehand would completely change a lot of scenes.

This could be misleading or else, it could be a hint - there's no telling.

I say, everybody, you should wait for the movie to come out. To believe anything, you have to see it with your own eyes. I'm not believing none of this, until I actually see it.

Oh man... there is so much supporting us optimists... but we need to prove it!

I don't think that will happen until next friday or at the earliest, at Cannes.

I have been saying that since March :p

Haha :D Its only under a week!

Man, I hope we're right!

Ditto that, I hope everyone is right too. Do you think we will know when they screen the film at Cannes?

Possibly... but if not, it doesn't mean much, because if they plan to suprise us, its likely we'll see it on the public debut.

for sure. They wouldnt screw a buzz like Cannes showing a different version. I am pretty sure they'll show the final final FINAL, for real, version there :D

That's what I was thinking. I'm just hoping we get the longer cut that Darkie saw...no 95 w/o cred/103 w/cred nonsense. Give us the 2 hour cut FOX! lol.

Yup. Too bad it said 103 miutes on their official website for X3's runtime though.

Don't forget - there is always the DVD ;)
i dont count dvds since i watched Hide and Seek
i was mad that the movie's finale was the worst of the four/five finales they had...i hate this "lets get some money making a film with 4 minutes of dialogue that we cut from the real version"

Didn't see the dvd - what did I miss?

See it all here

TXV: Would you agree that fans wishing to not have their movie experience spoiled should pick up the novelization after they have seen the movie? Or do you feel that it veers away from the film enough to not spoil any major surprises?

CC: Well, those who assumed the X-Men 2 novel was gospel got a big surprise at the last scenes in Canada. And the X3 crew was still shooting for quite a while after we had to lock the book. So I think it’s safe to say that anything’s possible. I think each version provides delights of its own and can be well enjoyed in and of itself.

Interesting...
