Once the Wrestling Thread Goes Bryan, There's No Point in Tryin! - - Part 64

They've got the talent. Thats the frustrating part.

It really is a decent roster but people don't get to reach their potential. I think with the influx of talent WWE will be more interesting in the fall.

I'd get excited about them reworking the tag division but I need to see them actually go through with it.

Also I agree Cody and Christian have brought a lot of prestige back to the intercontinental title. It sets up the next heel who will eventually beat Christian meanwhile Cody should go to the main event.

I'm a bit worried that Money in the Bank will have Punk vs Cena once more and with Cena walking out with the title since Punk/Bryan could be dead and Cena really has nothing to do with Johnny Ace anymore. I doubt Show will just go after Cena for no reason now.

I can see that. I was hoping the feud with Bryan would continue but if they are moving on Cena will have to be involved somehow.

- Daniel Bryan. This guy is the real money man in the WWE right now. If they wanted to turn Cena heel, they can now, because Bryan can easily take his place.

Rhodes and Christian have me excited about the IC titles future but whats the deal with the US title?. I think Dolph and Sheamus could do great work in a WHC feud if WWE really supported it more strongly.

I'm totally serious, bra'. Every time Bryan's in the ring, he's got the crowd in the palm of his hand. This is a rare thing, and can easily translate into Bryan becoming the mainsteam protaganist of the WWE on a future day.

The majority of it seems to be geared from the ROH/AmDrag marks, and other seem to be following it as it's seemingly the cool thing to do. There's more than enough "No's!" in responses to the "Yes'!" though, so their are still some not completely over with him seemingly. And btw, have we seemingly forgotten all about Punk right now?

Daniel Bryan started this:

Actually it's more like Diego Sanchez started it and then DBry adapted it. Kinda' like Austin adapting the Stone Cold Stunner from Michael Hayes showing him the initial move. :oldrazz:

I'm a big fan of Daniel Bryan's but have a hard time imaging he'll dethrone Cena anytime soon. I thought Punk would be the guy but if that's not going to happen, it seems unlikely for Bryan as well.

I guess we can only hope though. I'm sick of Cena at this point.

So No Way Out was good but had so much filler, Ryback needs to realize that the crowd are chanting Goldberg, not Ryback. Layla is absolute dead air, and when she tried to be funny the crowd booed, they also crapped on the Tuxedo match and gave Sin Cara vs Hunico the dreaded "boring" chant, mainly because nothing Sin Cara does is remotely new and he has no character, plus you have to sit in the dark.

Cody vs Christian was good as expected, the false finishes were well done and it easily left the opening for a rematch if both guys aren't in the MITB match.

Shreamus vs Ziggler was excellent except for the formulaic finish that once again puts Ziggler nowhere...Oh and even if the techs try to muffle it and Lawler tried to lie, the crowd was clearly behind Ziggler.

Triple H got a good pop when he came out but there was little reaction to his clunky promo, and when he challenged Brock for Summerslam the crowd just had a "Yeah, we knew that 2 months ago" reaction.

The triple threat was quality, the crowd were red hot for Punk and Bryan, I expected a little more input from AJ but she only popped up at the end. However the interesting thing was the smile she gave Punk when Kane carried her out, this is twice she has "Inadvertently" helped Punk win by distracting Kane.

Unlike most I felt Cena and Show worked a smart cage match using the escape rules well to tell a solid story it's just who cares?.....then the top babyface is knocked out and about to lose clean and 4 of his buddies do run-ins, leading to a Hulk Hogan-esque win by heel methods.

I see people comparing WWE and TNA, here's the thing for me on just this month's PPV's alone, I'd say Joe vs Aries and the tag title match were better than anything on No Way Out.......However both shows suffered from lackluster main events, granted Cena and Show put in twice the work of the farcical Sting vs Roode garbage, but in the end nothing fresh, interesting or of quality came from either headline match.

I like most matches from NWO But I wouldn't get it on DVD,But that's cause I don't get any single ppv on dvd..Just documentaries with matches and"Best Of"stuff!!

So will No Way Out be worth picking up on DVD?

Only for Dolph Vs. Sheamus. It was the worst PPV of the year and I need to start watching TNA again.

RIC FLAIR FIRED BY TNA
by Mike Johnson @ 2:01 PM on 6/18/2012

According to court documents filed in the WWE vs. TNA lawsuit case, TNA officially terminated Ric Flair on May 11, 2012.

WWE made that statement in the court documents while noting that Flair had been let go several weeks before TNA filed a lawsuit alleging that WWE had gone after Flair, described as "under a TNA contract" in the lawsuit.

That date would be Friday 5/11 while TNA's Sacrifice PPV was on 5/13. TNA claimed in the original PPV lawsuit that Flair had no showed the PPV. If he was fired, as the filing claims, he couldn't have no showed as he was no longer employed by the company.

It's interesting to note that Flair is still listed as an official member of the TNA roster on the company website. I'll have more on the WWE vs. TNA lawsuit shortly.

Dead-air? Hunter, you will not insult my Layla!

- Kevin Nash joked with fans that he will be taking over tonight's RAW now that John Laurinaitis is gone. He wrote:

"Running Raw tomorrow night, going to be epic"

- Writer Paul Guay is currently working on the screenplay for the Bruno Sammartino movie. Guay told F4Wonline.com that the movie will be completely different from any wrestling movie there has ever been. Guay previously wrote the movie "Liar, Liar" with Jim Carrey.

- As noted before, former TNA star Amazing Red was backstage for WWE's No Way Out pay-per-view on Sunday. Red was telling fans at the IZOD Center that he had a tryout earlier in the day but wouldn't say what came out of it.

- For the second pay-per-view in a row, WWE officials reportedly came close to putting the WWE Title on Daniel Bryan. Bryan almost went over CM Punk at WWE's Over the Limit pay-per-view and was discussed as the potential winner at No Way Out.

I wouldn't say it's her fault so much as the WWE's fault since they did diddly squat to promote the match. Honestly, they went two or three weeks without seeing either her or Beth on Raw or SD and then they expect us to get excited about a PPV match between the two just when they have a match to promote it the Raw before the show? I don't think so.

They need to give her better entrance music, especially if they want to promote her as the #1 babyface diva. The late 90s hip hip doesn't work for someone the crowd is supposed to cheer.

No Way Out was decent. It felt like a Raw type show though. Nothing special or interesting happened. The biggest shock was Laurinaitis being fired, but really, who cares? On top of this storyline, Show came out as the loser again.

Lol, I would actually say it was the complete opposite. No one beats Super Cena unless it's Dwayne. :D :oldrazz:

Or Punk.

Or Triple H.. Probably if he deemed such a win necessary.

The Punk things seems so long ago and a moment of weaknesses on the WWE's part, seeing as they never seemed to capitalise on that momentum and reverted back to the usual tosh in no time.

Lol, maybe, but I think even H would have the hard to get that over now.
