Some of the most clueless anatomy I've ever seen.

Bulging, misshapen heads like boulders.

JQEI. It lives, it walks...:whatever:

I think it royally STINKS that there is a delay already on just the 4 issue OMD ARC!!???

Which i thought they said it was done already??

Who thinks now that Amazing 3X will all be out on time too? LOL

Sheesh.

First off, Amazing 3X will prolly only last a year, tops...and some months i wouldn't be surprised if those ARCS don't turn into Amazing 2X, and that's if we're LUCKY.

Okay, for those of you who have read the recent Wizrd article, (and for those of you who haven't,) I noticed something quite possibly, (sadly,) hilarious.

There was one bit that Tom Breevort points out that he hated the idea brought in the Parallel lives graphic novel, that MJ knew all along that Peter was Spidey from the start

While I can appreciate that it does confuse some aspects of the past, his main gripe is that, in his words, 'it changes everythig I read over the last 20 years, I hated it as soon as I read it.'

Personally I appreciate the fact that they were trying to develop MJ's character more, and I really do think, for all intents and purposes, it really did work.

But the thing that gets me is, Breevort, (in his words,) HATED the fact that a team came along and retconned what he read over the last 20 years with MJ.

With all that's being, (overtly,) hinted at us about OMD and MJ, it seems that his statements could be highly ironic? He's one of the people that could possibly be retconning everything WE read wth MJ over the last 20 years

That is, if it turns out to be a retcon. Which we don't know yet. Because the book isn't out yet.

But there have been hints of a retcon for months and the articles actually just become furtherproof of it.

I haven't cared for JQ's artwork since he ended his run on DD to become EIC. I think he quit drawing it around issue 10? It was after the Smith run and into the David Mack "Echo" arc. Either way, he hasn't drawn anything I thought was even remotely cool since then.

As for the story....I'll give it a CHANCE. I'm just hoping that the powers that be decide to do the honorable thing and let Aunt May rest in peace, as she was doing after ASM#400 (which ruled).

Great news, Amazing is being shipped 3x a week, so you'll get Amazing 3x in one month!!!.........................btw, it's delayed.......but ignore that, ignore the man behind the red curtain!:woot:

I'm just ready to get this over with. It's like an enema, or a prison sentence...best to just get the unpleasantries out of the way and get passed them.

I'm tired of having One More Day hanging over Spidey's head.

Well, just One More Day till One More Day... and I'm accually pretty hyped for the story, and I'm looking forward to picking ASM up tomorrow.

This arc has me more nervous than excited. If JQ does end the marriage, it's going to be hard to resist a Dan Slott arc on Spidey, but I'm sure I'll manage.

It's funny- looks like the US and UK will be both getting comic day on Thursday this week.
I normally don't like Joe Q's pencils but I’m feeling everything I have seen on this so far art wise,- freaky covers included.

The preview looks good and I am trying to remain more optimistic than most others here. If we get a big ret con that wipes out JMS Spidey, heck that's fine by me! Il gladly go with the abolishment of the SP nonsense, The Other and the id reveal. Although,- it seems strange to ponder JMS wiping out the status of his entire 7 year run with his last arc on a title that since 2004 he has seemed determined to leave his mark on.

Of course it all points towards the dissolve of the marriage, because knowing how arrogant JMS is,
I doubt he has seen the error of his ways. Il wait it out though because I don’t believe Joe Q would be stupid enough to go down that road.

Amazing Spider-Man #544 One More Day Part 1 of 4

Spoiler Summary
Peter finds a sympathetic doctor who tries all his best to help May. But they still need money to get the best treatment for May and not raising the hospital's suspicious. Peter goes to find Tony Stark and the two get into a fight. Peter wins by webbing Tony up. He tell Tony his aunt is in critical condition and asks for his help, since technically it's also his fault. Tony refuses because he can't help an outlaw, and makes his escape.

Tony feels guilty for Aunt May's condition and eventually gives Jarvis 2 million dollars to support Peter. However, the good doctor tells Peter despite having the 2 million dollars, the most he can do is only make Aunt May's last days living as comfortable as possible. Pete must accepts that Aunt May will die and there's no way to save her.

Peter refuses and puts on his red and blue, determining to save Aunt May even it means storming the gates of hell itself!!!

This issue also contains a detailed history of Spider-Man handbook style.

My thoughts:
A slow moving issue. Basically I can sum up with Peter is desperate to save Aunt May. That's all. Frankly I'm a bit disappointed there's nothing much in this issue other than the fight with Iron Man. I guess we can only tell how this story will turn out the next issue.

One negative comments. Peter ditches his black suit for no reasons and goes back in to the red and blue :(

JQ's art is surprising good and I enjoy it. His only problem is Peter's face. He overdoes his facial expression. He does not have problems drawing other characters' faces well though. Everyone looks normal except Peter who is kinda freaky....

But his Spidey is awesome :woot:

JQ's Spider-Man. Amazing, sensational and spectacular!!!:spidey:

Yeah it's strange. Because i've always thought that the marriage in JMS' arcs are beautifully written and very true of their characters. JMS [to me] has always seemed to like the marriage and it could be another 'pressing' from JQ to do something he may not necessarily want to do.

#544 sounds just how I was expecting it to be...

But I hope that
"determining to save Aunt May even it means storming the gates of hell itself!!!" isn't taken too literally and we get some kind of supernatural deal with the devil.

I'm fully expecting nothing getting retconned from 'One More Day' and imagine one more day is either referring to spending one more with Aunt may before she dies or one more day with MJ, before something magically wipes everyone's memory -ending the marriage and restoring Peter's identity

i liked the issue. its my first 616 issue since the first morlun arc. pretty nice issue too. i liek the slow pacing. lets see how this turns out...

OMD part 1 was just like I perdicted, not worth the 3.99. Good thing I didn't buy it. :woot:

I'm actually gonna buy it today. I can't believe it.

Why I'm gonna buy it, or why I can't believe it?

i didnt mind the issue, it had some interesting ideas

sadly i can see the marriage or even mj being gone by the end of it. if anyone got the newest wizard they do an article on the whole pete and mj romance and almost ever writer they ask about it basically hate the marriage and mj

i'm also going to state that i was one of the few that enjoyed elements of sins past, i could have done without the kids, but i did like the twist of gwen and norman having a one night stand, mainly because i feel it added a new element to gwen and anyone who knows me knows i feel gwen was a boring and dull character and her death though a milestone has been over played.

the rest of it i could have done without but the grey goblin did look cool

almost ever writer they ask about it basically hate the marriage and mj

Half of them employeed and watched by JOEY Q their "boss" Seriously, if I were EIC and said I was doing a Spidey story that would really strengthen the relationship with MJ/Peter, a good character story, with tons of Spidey fun/action half the the writers would say "Oh yeah, I love what he's doing." or "I love the marriage." The fans have spoken on here and newsarama...keep the marriage, find better writers, and fire Joey Q.

Nuff said.

JQ seems to take the marriage rather personally. He pencils OMD, which will (probably) end the marriage :)
