Don't take this the wrong way its just my opinion, but I don't feel we need any epic villians. The arcs that are going on at the moment are more character based.

But what thrives in the Marvel RPG is points in the season when we bring teams together to face a huge threat, its great. Can't go on with small time characters forever IMO.

nucklehead PLEASE update the roster, you someone just applied to be Green Lantern but couldn't cause someone's playing him but it doesn't say on the roster.

Oh and are the X-men gonna get to the weapons facility soon? I'm eager to throw Wolverine through the roof

However, epic villains can do so much more than, say, the Wrecker could and have far greater story potential. With Doom, I could have a couple arcs where he's simply running Latveria and doing some non-hostile interactions with PCs and NPCs until his grand evil scheme is revealed and the heroes have to stop him or face the end of the world/subjugation of the world/cocktail party.

Half the fun of the big bads is the stuff you can do where they aren't the bad guys.

IIRC, Doom hates omnipotent power. He's had it a couple of times, and always ends up throwing it away because it feels like cheating. Doom knows that he is smart enough and capable enough to do anything he desires, why should he need the aid of a bejeweled glove or cosmically granted power to do what he wants to do?

Doom had to gain those powers before he ended up realizing that it felt like cheating. My doom isn't 616 Doom...infact, he hasn't even turned into Doctor Doom (not until my next post ) so at this point, I think he would still be lusting after greater power because he hasn't had it yet.

Well, were I to have an epic villain like Kang, you wouldn't see him interacting in a grand storyline sense for quite a while. Truth be told, I wanted to launch the Darkseid invasion much later than I did (to give everyone time to establish their characters more thoroughly), but circumstances prevented that. My next big villain-y thing would take a much longer time than Darkseid's invasion.

I still wanna have some time travel zaniness. So many great characters in both universes from the future.

Or how about the Nebula Man? Who would be the Seven Soldiers in a combined universe?

And never forget Galactus.

Ooo, and how about the Sentry?

Or how about a Mojo and Mongul team up? War World can be tied to the Mojoverse.

And keeping with the cosmic theme, would there be a Kree, Shi'ar or Skrull Green Lanterns?

Superman vs Gladiator might be neat.

I think your heart is in the right place Purple Man, but when someone picks a character, they have their own plans on how to use them. I think you should consintrate on Hal for now.

Purple Look, i'm glad you want to help this RPG, but at the moment to me at least you need to focus on your current character, and structure want you want to do with him and not worry so much about the countless possiblitys of this RPG.

Purple, I completely sympathize with you, but if I may, a suggestion:

You've got one in character post right now. Hal is one of the few space characters we've got in the RPG, so why don't you use him to explore the merged space universe? Maybe he happens upon Terrax the Tamer waging war on Rann, and of course flies in to save the day. Perhaps he chances upon a border skirmish between the Kree and the Skrull, and meets a certain Captain of the Kree named Mar-Vell.

Ideas are great. I love ideas as much as the next guy. But a good idea pales in comparison to a good story. When I had Darkseid, I used him to explore the merged universe's possibilities, going so far as mentioning Wonder Man working alongisde Changeling/Beast Boy and Flamebird, etc. If you think you have some really cool ideas, then use your character to express them.

That will write him out of the story until Red X returns. And when Red X DOES return, it will be simple enough for Deadpool to just escape.
