No offense, but it doesn't take that much to keep the RPG running.
Myself and the other GM's in the DC RPG do nothing..literally..in terms of 'running' the RPG. Unless it's between seasons or the RPG is re-organizing the rules, etc...last Season in the RPG I had to redo and uphold the rules on my own, and I got totally overwhelmed and literally snapped.

This RPG moves along on it's own so I don't think you should use that as an excuse.

I hate to gang up on you but LT is right.

You're on Hype for hours, posting in the Contest of Marvels thread and other assorted threads, in fact you're posts are spread out at even intervals throughout different threads.

Yeah, i'm pretty much the only GM that does anything GM-like though...I update the roster, I try to keep tabs on everyone etc. And most of my posts are when i'm at school, so I message here and there, but I don't have time to sit down and make a dedicated, and decent post. I don't know how you can just assume that I have time to make posts because I make other quick posts in some places, its like you know me and what my life is like but unfortunatley you don't so please don't assume anything. It's been a particularly busy time in my life right now, everything has been happening at once, so I don't have time to post right now. I don't ususally take advantage of the 2 week rule, but at this moment in my life, I have to, and thats my decision to make regardless of what you or anyone else says.

Well, not to be insulting, but if you've got time to spar with me in the OOC thread then you've got time to make a post.

As to Sentry, I understand what he's going through, but it's been more than two weeks (far more, in fact) since his last post. His not being here is holding up another player's story (Twy's), and I really see no need for it because we've got someone who wants to be Iron Man in SuperFerret. The way I see it, it's better to have someone as Iron Man and posting as Iron Man than to have someone be Iron Man and... not post.

It's tough, but I think it's fair for everyone involved.

Why are you acting like it's my call about Sentry? I don't have the authority to give away Iron Man, only Canuckle can do that, so I have nothing else to do or say on this matter.

You can't apply rules selectively. More importantly, you can't say that the rules don't apply to someone like an AGM and apply to a player. That isn't right. Especially when we're talking about a rule like the two week rule, which exists to keep the flow of the RPG moving.

Now, I'm not an AGM. I brought up a point that was bothering me for a while, that being that there's not enough people posting. We have a damn near 1-1 ratio of players and GMs, and no one's posting. That's going to kill the RPG.

If Sparta or OC have issues with this, that's fine. It's their game, after all.

You are being very degrading in the light of us not 'knowing' your personal life. I could care less if you spend your time laying whatever girl you have. However you made a commitment to this RPG not just as a GM but also as a player.

I don't care if Mister ****tastic is needed or not in the RPG right now. What I do care about is your "I don't give a ****" attitude and lame excuses you've used to try to excuse away your lack of posts to LT and others in this thread.

If you don't have time to post then post it in the OOC thread. It's not hard I'll show you look:

I don't care if you have personal problems, and I respect you if you do, what I don't respect is you using the position of AGM as a sad excuse. Believe me, I've been there. I cut out threads from my life when I was an AGM and I had three RPG's I posted in. I focused on the RPG's till they were steady, and when I needed a break, I told them in the OOC thread I wouldn't be avaliable to post for a few days.


Bottom line: Start acting like a responsible PLAYER. You've proved your worth as a AGM, but not as a steady trustworthy player.

Wow, nice way to let yourself off the hook there, telling us that we can't comment on the posting patterns of others.

I hope I don't have to remind ya'll, but this is a mutual agreement RPG. Look it up on Wikipedia. It's not a GM lead game.

And this is just for fun, but for fun we should know who we can count on to post.

Yes the AGM are in charge, but the rest of the players hold the other ones accountable as well. The reason both LT and I are 'coming down hard' on you guys is because neither of you seem to be understanding in the simple courtousy's of playing in an RPG.

YOU messed with LT's character.

YOU ignored a simple procedure of posting an application.

Only thing I can call Sparta on is his bad attitude and lack of notifying us of his busy social life on Hype and in the real world.

You have the makings of a great GM, but you aren't living up to your potential, nor are you acting responsible.

While I applaude the sentiment and we've been harping for days over it, Sentry has communicated with me in the last 24 hours, so we can't say anymore that we have 'no contact'.

The ship has sailed to take action like that. I sent him a PM asking his intent and hopefully he'll answer soon. Give him more than 24 hours.

On a softer note, in reguards to this RPG being 'doomed' and such talk.


That talk is wrong.


ALL the RPG's on this website have got through shake downs and the ironing of wrinkles in the procedures, courtesies and the way the GM's handle things.

This RPG is strong, it just needs to be solidified. So take my probably less than loving advice and use it constructively to change things or reevaluate the roles played in the guiding of this RPG.

I literally lived and breathed the DC RPG for months, even in real life people were tired of me talking about it's problems or how great it was.

I had it last year in the DC RPG, and it took me a long time to figure it out.


It took me a long time and it lost me a great GM. I don't have patience or time for you guys to slowly work it out.

So face the music and decide now, rather than waiting till later.

How am I dissappearing? The rule has always been 2 weeks. Other people like Sentry say they are can't post for a while and don't show themselves around here for a long time, thats dissappearing, I on the other hand, just can't post AT THE MOMENT because AT THE MOMENT my life is very hectic. I am still in the OOC thread trying to do anything I can to help this RPG mod wise with the little free time that I have, so I think i'm being pretty responsible about the 2 week rule, and i'm definatley not dissappearing. I don't understand why you feel like its your responsibility to make sure all RPG's are run your way all the time...you aren't a mod, but you act like one more then most of the other mods around here. Since we're on this topic we might as well get our agressions out so we can leave them behind us, and there is no reason why we can't do it with civility.

Um, excuse me man...I am extremely busy and have a ton of things going on in my life right now. An internet RPG isn't the first thing on my mind when I have a new female in my life, mid-terms, tons of projects, recent health concerns, family problems etc. I usually post a good amount, but at the moment it's not in the cards for me. You guys don't need a Mister F post to keep the invasion moving, so keep on doing what your doing. I will post when I post, and as long as I mention that, I'm not doing anything wrong, despite what you think. A lot of my posts have been OC lately, mainly because i'm pretty much the only mod that looks after things like roster updating and such. I will post when I can, and i'm sorry that my life is getting in the way of your Darkseid story moving along (even though you story doesn't even involve Reed in anyway) Maybe I should just quit this RPG until my schedule clears up...I have a ton of important things I need to do, and if I had to rank them all in importance, this RPG wouldn't even be on the list. There is nothing wrong with the rpg moving at a slower pace...not everyone is as gung ho as you Librarian, and not everyone can post everyday...it doesn't make them bad RPG'ers, it just means they have other things in their lives and can't be on the internet all the time or get access to a comp.

I'm a chronic backlogger.

I also typed out like 10 pages of RPG common courtesies and rules after something like this went down in the DC RPG last season, so I'm a little passionate.

Just thought I would address this to clarify.

I bark up your tree because you are 1) an AGM, GM really in the technical sense of the term. You are supposed to set an example and 2) because you're regularly posting in the OOC thread which means you haven't completely 'dissapeared'.

Ok ive read alot of intersting stuff since i got back from dinner. As far as the comment that niether Sparta or myself explained that we would have to absent for periods of time, this is simply untrue. I made several posts explaining that i could not post and that i most likely wouldnt be able to for a while, but would try my hardest, finaly I've been getting back on track, and as far as Sparta, I sincerly doubt he has been absent long enough for thier to be any bickering or fueding. I have seen several attempts of strong arming and name calling. I may not be involved in many other RPG's but I can tell you that THIS RPG will be run with respect. I have apologised for my post in which I "gave up". It was immature of me and I posted an apology shortly after, I explained that I had and off week, but that shouldnt be your problem and took my responsibility. But I will NOT tolerate any disrespect from any member in the RPG. I WISH that you had listened to my last post instead of attempting to use it as amuntion. As far as the comment "You cant apply rules selectivly", why yes I can bend the rules for certain players if I deam so, if I believe it will better serve the RPG, why? Beacause I am the GM and have that authority, and if anyone has a problem with showing your fellow players respect than I ask that you please leave now and spare us from further disrepect and confrontation. I will never disrespect any of you and expect the same not only in return, but to each other, to every memeber of the RPG. I do not appreciate those of you attempting to demoralize you fellow player and AGAIN I ask that it cease. This RPG is about fun, that was its purpose, and that is how it shal continue. I plan on playing a much stronger role again and mediating problems such as these, up until this point I was proud of how situations had been handeled without me in the RPG. On that note I do believe that I explaned the circumstances around that period of time and the reson that I COULD NOT post for those 4 weeks, however that matter has been put to rest and shall remain at rest. However if you feel that you need some clarification on those reasons you have but to ask, respectfuly. If I could have posted sooner I would. And occasionaly I did post in the Ultimate thread when I had time, which was limited due to those circumstances, or I would ask a friend of mine to post my ideas for me. I have only recently been able to break free from those confines, however, not I nor anyone else here are on trial, and I do not like being monitered by anyone. As far as this "peacefull agreement", I have seen few peacefull posts recently, what I have seen is disrepect and strongarming. You cannot bully anyone here into posting when you see fit, whether that post be in the OOC thread or the RPG thread, I dont want there to be any more argument from anyone. Just have fun, build interesting Arcs and characters. Enjoy what your doing here dont argue or fight simply for the sake of fighting. If you have ANY problems, with others or just in the arc, send me a tell. I will help to the best of my ability.
