I might put an app up for Magneto later today. I've got a lot of homework I have to do, though, and I need to get inside Magneto's head and figure out how I'll play him before I'll put an app up. Not to mention I really need to figure out a plot for Mags to be a part of. Best thing I've got so far is an amnesiatic Magneto returning to the devasted island of Genosha and wondering why the mutants there hate him so.

Lobo, if I do take up Magneto. Like I said, I just don't have Magneto's character in my head right now. The other characters I've RP'd have all been rather solidly in mind, and the plots I have with them were in mind as well. However, I just don't have Magneto's "voice" yet. Darksied, Superman, Green Arrow, ultimate Lobo, and Thor all came rather easily to me. Magneto is much more difficult.

Well, if you still want Flash to take out some zombies, then it won't affect them all. If you're through with Jay fighting the undead, then it can take them all down.

"One Universe" RPG SIGN-UP FORM

Screen Name: Librarian Thorne

Character you would like to play and a brief description of his/her powers and Bio: Magneto, Master of Magnetism. Erik Magnus Lensherr was the son of Jews during World War II, and knows well the horrors that were the concentration camps. It was there, after all, that his powers first began to manifest. He survived Treblinka, then Auschwitz, and even the war itself.

Twenty years later, he encountered a man named Charles Xavier. They were friends and coworkers, but their bond was strengthened when each discovered that they were a mutant; the next step in human evolution. Magneto knew of Xavier's Dream, and both he and his wife supported Charles. It was with Magento's help that Xavier constructed the mutant locating machine, Cerebro.

But the two were not meant for friendship. Another twenty years passed, and more mutants began appearing all over the world. Anti-mutant sentiment rose, and one murderous night Erik Lensherr's neighbor's discovered that he was a mutant. Lensherr returned to find his home on fire, and a mob around the mutilated and beaten corpse of his wife. He turned his horrified eyes to his burning home, and watched as his beloved daughter, only ten years old, leapt burning to her death.

His mind shattered, and born then from the death of Erik Lensherr was Magneto. The crowd of dozens was found the day after, and it took many days for them to be identifed. Their blood had been ripped out of their bodies, and any available piece of metal had been impaled into their corpses.

From that day on, Magneto waged a war against the humanity that had destroyed both of his families, always in combat against Charles Xavier who sought peace between mutants and humans. Magneto, after the trauma that he had witnessed, could not believe in Xavier's Dream and knows that the only sure method to mutant survival is to live seperately from the humans. So it was, then, that he took over the African country of Genosha, usurping the country's military dictatorship in a week. He then banished all humans from the land, and made the country a safe haven for mutant kind. Still, this was not enough for Magneto, who found himself a growing world figure. Exerting his powers to the utmost, Magneto took an asteroid from the asteroid belt and refashioned it into an arctic base of operations, named Asteroid M. He gifted it with its own magnetic field that prevents the asteroid from falling to earth.

However, it was in Asteroid M where Magneto would know defeat. He refuted the offer of a messenger of the mad god Darkseid, and for it was banished to an anti-realm of nothingness. Only through the greatest exertion of his power did he force his way back to his normal dimension, but it came at the cost of his memories. Something in that hellish place robbed him of his knowledge, and he knew not that he ruled his own land. He resumed his terrorist activities, coming close to destryoing New York City if not for the intervention of Charles Xavier's X-Men and the timely interference of Iron Man. He retreated from battle then, and has been trekking the world ever since. He knows that something is wrong with him, and now his wayward path will take him to the devastated paradise of Genosha...


Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. Marvel has some of the best villains, and I enjoy playing as them.

2. He's freakin' Magneto.

3. I've got some really, I think, cool plots in mind for him and I'd love to use Magneto to force, say, the DC characters (and characters like Captain America and Spidey!) to address the mutant problems in the One Universe.

What can you bring to this game?

I can bring tragedy and twisted heroism, and maybe give people a new outlook on the Master of Magnetism.


How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: At least once, if possible.

Well, if you still want Flash to take out some zombies, then it won't affect them all. If you're through with Jay fighting the undead, then it can take them all down.
