"One Universe" RPG SIGN-UP FORM

Screen Name: Librarian Thorne

Character you would like to play and a brief description of his/her powers and Bio: Victor Von Doom. A wandering gypsy as a child, young Victor Von Doom was posessed of towering intelligence. Foregoing the superstitious ways of his peers, Doom instead focused on education and western science. Doom and his band of gypsies were continuously hounded by the Baron of the land, and on one terrible night Doom's mother was shot by one of the Baron's soldiers. Doom vowed revenge, and would spend the rest of his life seeking a way to talk to his beloved mother. He attended an American university and was given a room mate in one Reed Richards. While at the university, Doom sought out any technological method of breaking the barrier of death and talking to his deceased mother one last time.

He knew he had the solution, and constructed the device. Unbeknownst to Doom, Reed Richards saw Doom's plans and algorithims and made slight modifications, modifications which resulted in the explosive destruction of Doom's machine, permanently scarring Victor Von Doom as well. He discovered that Richards had been the one to alter his formulas, and quit the university, swearing eternal vengeance against Reed Richards.

He returned then to his country of Latveria, and for many years laid the foundations for his eventual conquest. He was alarmed by the emergence of the so-called "super heroes," but did not let them bother him. That is, until Reed Richards unveiled that he, too, had super powers and debuted his infantile "Fantastic Four." Doom knew then that his plans could no longer wait, for if Richards was a hero then so all heroes were his enemies. While the American heroes busied themselves with the invasion of Darkseid, Doom launched his conquest of Latveria. Within days, the country had been overrun by Doom's constructed army, and the baron that had caused the death of his mother lie dead at his feet. He spent the following weeks building his power base in Latveria, and the country became a land of peace under his iron fist. The incredibly advanced robots he constructed served as the small nation's police force, and no other world power could deal with Latveria at the time, as many were still rebuilding from the Darkseid Invasion. So it was that Doom came to rule Latveria, and he assumed the mantle of DOCTOR DOOM.

The zombie plague has spread across all Europe, save for one isolated nation. Doom has erected giant electrical fences around the country, which in conjunction with his army of robots has prevented the zombies from infiltrating Latveria. Meanwhile, Doom works on a secret project within the bowels of his castle. A project that may well herald the end of the "super" heroes and the hated Reed Richards.


Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. Sparta hasn't posted as him in so long, and I've had ideas for Doctor Doom since the beginning of the RPG.

2. He's freakin Victor von Doom. Arguably the smartest being on Earth (though not to his mind), with an army of robot duplicates he can be anyone's greatest friend or greatest foe.

3. Johnny Blaze and I worked out an arc that could be really, really cool.

What can you bring to this game?

I can bring grandiose scheming, and epic villainry unlike anything seen before in this RPG. The DOOM of the heroes is come.


How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: At least once.

Awesome. BTW what ever happened to the arc with Juggs, Morph, Supes, and Sentry? Has that been put on hold? It's ok with me if it is on hold, I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't get booted from the RPG for not posting in so long.

We're sort of flying over New York right now. Wondering if a couple of 'hero bots' are going to attack since we're porbably getting close to Mysterio's hideout.

Might also be time for Mysterio to find a backup hiding place incase we find his main base of operations.

HEY?! What the hell??? I said I wasn't going to be able to post as Doctor Doom for a while but I was planning on coming back really soon now that the semester is wrapping up! I mentioned in the OC thread that I wasn't going to be able to post for a bit, but that I was coming back so he shouldn't be able to just be taken from me?!! No one even PM'd me on the matter! I wanted to take Magneto in the Marvel RPG but I couldn't take him even though Batnkevlar hadn't posted in months! And this has happened in the Ultimate RPG and other RPG's but the end result was that the original owner gets to keep their character. I never dropped Doctor Doom, and I do have plans for him, including plots worked out with Keyser Soze and others.

You haven't posted in either thread in FAR past the two week limit, and the RPG is slowing down vastly. It needs something, and JB and I cooked up an arc that should have the same effect my Darkseid arc did.

The Two week limit is the rule...IF you don't mention any special circumstances which I did in the OC thread! People in this RPG, the Marvel and Ultimate RPG's have not posted for longer then me, WITHOUT mentioning anything, and people have been refused the opportunity to take their character. EVEN if their characters were wanted, they were PM'd and asked to start posting BEFORE their character is just tossed away! Never in the history of the RPG have I seen something this uncalled for.
