Fine, I"m out of this argument, it's a losing battle anyway. We've tried numerous times to be polite to each other and everything just goes back the way it was.

I don't want to get banned because of flaming, and the RPG's have had their fair share of it so I'm not going to 'inflame the fire' anymore.

I know that I have had my fair share of arguements in this RPG but I want them to be over. I gave Doctor Doom to Librarian Thorne in a showing of good faith because I feel bad for the confrontation we had way back when. I swallowed my pride...and most people who know me can say that is a hard thing for me to do sometimes. Now I am asking that everyone in this confrontation do the same thing.

Canuckle, we need more order around here. I know that you can't be on all the time, and you are right...the GM's should be able to help when you can't because that's what we are here for. The tasks of the RPG need to be divided among the GM's, and they need to be followed. Each GM should take care of something different...one for recruitment, one for roster updating, on for conflict resolution etc. Until those roles are filled this RPG will never really reach it's max potential.

Red X, you yourself took a lot of responsibilty in the RPG because others weren't pulling their slack. Instead of trying to do everything yourself, we should have done something about dividing the tasks. You are a great mod in my opinion...you are fair, and try to disolve disputes through negotiation...but anyone feeling that the responsibility of an RPG is soley resting on their shoulders would eventually show some hostility. All the mods need to help eachother, and Communicate with eachother. I think that is what began this whole mess...lack of communication.

Twy, I know we have been at odds a few times, but it's not because we dislike eachother, I think it's just because we have different ways of looking at things and dealing with problems. You are really good at planning, laying out rules, and inforcing them, but sometimes I think you go a little too far. If someone breaks a rule in the RPG, it's not the end of the world. It happens and will continue to happen, the thing that needs to change is how it's dealt with. This is only an internet RPG, being a little less concerned with the rules, and cutting some slack would help out a lot I think.

What we need to do is decide who is going to be kept as mods, and divide the tasks among those people. The people who are chosen to be mods are chosen for a reason and what they say should ultimatley go in the end. When others try to usurp a mods decision, thats when problems begin. The mods should make all decisions together, and what they decide on should be adhered to without "mutinies" afterwards (for lack of a better word)

We are all good people, and talented writers in this RPG...some of us just have different ways of looking at things. This causes problems not just in the RPG but in everyday life. We have to try and work together to solve our problems...ask others for help, suggestions, opinions. We are co-writers here, not competitors. We are trying to put together the best story we can, and if everyone isn't dedicated, understanding, and honest with eachother it will never happen.

I agree totaly man. What I'm gona try and do is basicaly sweep this under the rug, not to avoid an issue, but because the issue itself is pointless and got out of hand. I personaly oppologise for any problems I created or helped to escalate. But IMO this RPG needs a much more relaxed attitude, things get stuffy in here real quick.

As far as breaking down the GM responsibilities, I think its a great idea. I think everyone should have a specific task, one reason I had put Victor Creed as an AGM was to help update the roster but certain peoples insults caused him to lose interest in the RPG, but that matter is closed so I will move on. Personaly I would like to ask you Sparta* if you could help me with updates because I can trust you. I'll send you a PM with my password and allow you full acess to my acount, but only if you decide to, I'm not forcing you :)

But as far as this conflict is concerned lets just ****ing drop it. I'm tired of having to go through High School drama, there is a reason I ran to college at my earliest opportunity! But as far as I'm concerned its over. If anyone else has some harsh words to bring my way do so over PM, I can handle that a bit better, but if its done in the OOC its just gona piss me off. So let that be that.

As far as assigning responsibilities, If you are interested in a specific position send me a PM, other than that I would like to talk with you Sparta* over PM and try to find the right people to designate stuff to.
 
Since OC is unwilling to discuss the RPG in PM's (even though he said 2 posts above he would).

In all honestly if you look back over the RPG and the augments that have occurred, brushing problems under the carpet doesn’t solve them. I think instead of putting problems behind us, we need to work on solving them. Pushing them aside will only lead to more augments down the line and I don’t believe anyone wants that.

So that’s it. Whether this is taken into consideration or not, I feel that it needed to be said.

If you ever need a hand, I'm down to help. I may not have experience being an AGM one of the Hype RPGs, but I did start and run the DTL for three seasons (Now Wieg is running the show and doing a fine job of it). So, I definitely know how to run and maintain an internet game. :up:

I wouldn't mind doing the Roster because i've done it for a while and I have a copy saved in Word like Twy suggested :p If no one has any objections with that, that is. What were your guys' thoughts for the dispersment of the other duties?

I'm not a GM anymore. As of right now I quit active GM duty.

Eh, all Mods should have the same duties, save for the one that keeps the roster updated since the roster post is under OC's name.
If an argument breaks out, the mod who is online at the time should be able to deal with it instead of waiting for a specific mod to come on. All mods should also go out and try and recruit people who they think would work well in the RPG. Not just certain mods. Hell, even players should be trying to recruit new people to join the RPG. Same goes for excepting people too (mods not the players).
All mods should have the same amount of power and be responcible for the same things. Things would run quicker and more smoothly that way.
 
Agreed. Personally speaking something’s could be done more efficiently if the thread was under a universal name for the GM's.

Well, that's something that should be done for Season II. That way any GM could update the roster, and we would not have to wait around for certain posters to come online to get everything updated. After all, sometimes real life calls and people can't get time to go online. With using a universal name for all the GMs everything would/could get updated quickly and efficiently.

It would keep newbies from getting confused of who's taken or what not when they want to join. :up:
