If one of you bastards doesn't finish Doom off soon, I will have him kill the lot of you. And then, once he gets the power of The Source, I'll have him come and skull**** your other characters. :cmad:

Sheesh, glad I'm not on that 'To Skullf**k' list.

After having just been taught by Byrd how to look up specific posts in a thread, I've come to realize that the Flash arc I'm doing right now heavily contradicts some of what he did with Barry. By that, I mean the Rogues. Now, to my knowledge, he didn't extensively go into them or their origins, and as far as I know only used them as being old Flash enemies and already having formed the Rogues club. Question is, would anyone, and by that I mean Byrd mostly, have objections to me going with what I've been doing, or would you guys prefer me cutting it here and starting over?

JB, will get a post up soon. Just trying to decypher the mess that is the Ultimate DC GCPD.

'Bout bloody time. :cmad:

Aaaand that's it for me with Doom.
It was a fun ride, and a pleasure going up against EBJ, Catman, Carnage, and Byrd. Thanks, guys, for making this a fun arc. :yay:

I'll be keeping Fate just to finish things up at the Source Wall, but, once the Defenders part ways, I'll be dropping him too.

And, with Doom gone, I will be posting an app for my next character in a bit.

Screen Name: J Bizzle

Character you would like to play: Jonathan Crane, the Scarecrow

Powers: None, but Crane is a gifted psychiatrist, a master manipulator, and has developed a fear gas which poisons his victims, forcing them to live their worst fears.

Brief biography of the character's history: Jonathan Crane grew up a poor child in The Narrows of Gotham city, but eventually worked his way to become a world-renowned psychologist. Specializing in studying fear, Crane began work at Gotham University as it's head of psychology and one of it's most prestigious professors. But, after several controversial experiments on students, Crane was fired from the school.
Crane then began work at Arkham Asylum as it's head of psychiatry. There Crane transformed himself into the Scarecrow, using his self-created Fear Gas to get revenge on those who wronged him. But Crane was eventually defeated by the Batman and taken back to Arkham, this time as an inmate.

The Scarecrow was eventually released and was hired by Maroni to take care of Harvey Dent. Along with Electro, Crane made Dent's life a living Hell, but was thwarted once again by the Batman. Now the Scarecrow is back in his padded cell in Arkham Asylum. How long he'll remain there is anyone's guess...

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character: I've always liked the character, so I'd like to try my hand at him. Since the Joker's taken by the talented Peter Parker, I'll have to go with my second favorite Bat-villain.

What can you bring to this game?: A good street-level villain, and years of RPing experience.

Color and font you plan on using for your character's speech: sienna, bolded when wearing the Scarecrow mask

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as I ****ing feel like.

Please provide a sample post with original content in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 5 paragraphs long and contain at least 3 line of dialogue):

The smell of mildew hung in the air, attack his nostrils every time he breathed in. He was strapped tightly in a straight jacket, sitting on a cold, steel chair in a stained padded cell.
But, despite these seemingly grim conditions, Jonathan Crane wore a smile as the raven-haired woman walked into the room.

"Well, hello there Doctor Kafka. How's the old job been treating you", Crane smirked smugly.

"Jonathan", replied Doctor Ashley Kafka with a nod as she moved to stand a few meters away from the restrained former head of psychiatry at Arkham Asylum.

"I was hoping we could begin where we left off the other day?"

"And where was that, Doctor", chuckled Crane.
"Do tell?"

"No mind games, Jonathan. I'm trying to help you."

"Are you now? Or are you trying to help yourself? I've read your book, you know. The Machinations of an Insane Mind: A Look Into the Minds of Madmen", Crane spoke as he closed his eyes and inhaled deeply.
"You could almost smell the arrogance wafting from the pages."

"Your 'radical' ideas and hypothesize are nothing but pure fanciful opinions meant to bolster your fragile ego."

The corner of Ashley Kafka's mouth curved ever-so-slightly into a frown. And, when Crane saw it, it was like a shark smelling blood in the water.
"That's your problem, Doctor. You act like some saint. God's gift to criminal psychosis. You strut around like you're the second coming of Freud."

"And, in some degree, you are"
, continued Crane as he leaned towards Dr. Kafka as much as his situation would allow.

"Freud was a fraud, and so are you", he grinned.
"This career of yours is nothing more than you wanting to put yourself next to those you deem lower than you. So you can try and boost your frail confidence because, deep down, you know you're nothing but a complete and utter farce."

Ashley Kafka stood perfectly still in silence as she looked on at the former Professor Crane. He had once been known as one of the most brilliant and respected psychologists in the world, but now all that was long gone. And Crane had done it to himself. Now he was an inmate in the very institution he once ran.
And now Ashley Kafka was the one in charge, taking Crane's job when he was captured in his Scarecrow guise and locked up.

Doctor Kafka shook her head and sighed. Walking up to the door, Ashley knocked and the guard opened up to let her out.

"I do so love our conversations, Ashley, my dear", laughed Crane to the departing Doctor.
"We're definitely making progress, I think. Why, we'll have you thinking straight in no time!"

Kafka didn't respond to Crane as the cell door closed tightly shut, sealing the Scarecrow once more alone in his dank, dark room.

Go ahead, Sensei. I don't mind.

Approved.

Sweet. You da Byrd, man. :yay:

Trusty, when you go to edit the roster pics again, please use this one for the Scarecrow.

Shlee, I don't want to threaten you with bodily harm, but if you don't make a Babs post...

Look at JB, saying the TDK hype is what makes people pick up Batman stuff. Yet, who did you just pick up? :o

The Dark Knight did help the final push, but Crane has been one of the few characters I was thinking about picking up once the Defender story is done for about a month now.

And, once I'm done with Fate, I can choose the next one. :yay:

You'll do what?

I'm working on it, just be patient. Sorry I haven't been in the mood to post at all in any of these RPGs or even read them, and I've been busy with other stuff, like gearing up for my trip.

BEST STORYLINE - The Knights of Gotham (aka, Soze's Dent, PP's DD, and Wieg's Batman and Logan Vs Maroni): One of my favorite current storylines in any of the RPGs, reading their struggle to take down one of Gotham's most notorious dons has been a blast to read. Can't wait to see how it plays itself out.
Catman's and Sensei's arc involving Iron Man and Wonder Man is a close second.

BEST HERO - Spider-Man (Eddie Brock): Although both Wieg's Batman and PP's Daredevil made this a hard choice, EB's potrayal of both Peter Parker and his alter-ego get the nod. Since taking the character over he's done nothing short of a remarkable job, making his love for the character shine through in his posts.

BEST VILLAIN - The Joker (Peter Parker): Not a whole lot to choose from on the villain front (:cmad: ), but, regardless, Peter Parker's potrayal of the Joker has been excellently creepy. He hasn't been in the role long, but the little bit of work he's done thus far has been nothing short of amazing. Looking forward to see how he progresses with the Clown Prince of Crime.

BEST DEVELOPED CHARACTER - Harvey Dent (Keyser Soze): What's there to say? Guys spent nearly the entire game to date developing Harvey and setting him up for the big fall we all know is coming. Definitely can't wait to see all build up finally reach it's climax.

BEST NEWCOMER - SHLEE: Shlee definitely deserves to be called the best newcomer. She may not post too often, but when she does it's always quality stuff.

BEST FIGHT - Spider-Man Vs Deathstroke Vs Bullseye: Great characterizations, excellent action and pacing, and some solid, free-style RPing made this fight the best for me thus far.

Wow. A Best Hero award. I don't know how to respond to that - other than...thank you. I hope to keep up the good work (and carry on the enthusiasm to Supes as well).

Thank you, Shlee. I knew you wouldn't disappoint. :cwink: I want to get to work on a response ASAP, but I don't particularly like the idea of staying on the computer during this heavy thunderstorm. Tomorrow, though, I'm all yours!

Man, JB. I really don't know what to say for the awards, particularly the Villain. I'm shocked. I've been working incredibly hard with each post as the character and it's nice to know that people are reading. I'm honored. It truly means a lot.
