Screen Name: J Bizzle
Character you would like to play: Jonathan Crane, the Scarecrow
Powers: None, but Crane is a gifted psychiatrist, a master manipulator, and has developed a fear gas which poisons his victims, forcing them to live their worst fears.
Brief biography of the character's history: Jonathan Crane grew up a poor child in The Narrows of Gotham city, but eventually worked his way to become a world-renowned psychologist. Specializing in studying fear, Crane began work at Gotham University as it's head of psychology and one of it's most prestigious professors. But, after several controversial experiments on students, Crane was fired from the school.
Crane then began work at Arkham Asylum as it's head of psychiatry. There Crane transformed himself into the Scarecrow, using his self-created Fear Gas to get revenge on those who wronged him. But Crane was eventually defeated by the Batman and taken back to Arkham, this time as an inmate.
The Scarecrow was eventually released and was hired by Maroni to take care of Harvey Dent. Along with Electro, Crane made Dent's life a living Hell, but was thwarted once again by the Batman. Now the Scarecrow is back in his padded cell in Arkham Asylum. How long he'll remain there is anyone's guess...
List a few reasons why you have chosen that character: I've always liked the character, so I'd like to try my hand at him. Since the Joker's taken by the talented Peter Parker, I'll have to go with my second favorite Bat-villain.
What can you bring to this game?: A good street-level villain, and years of RPing experience.
Color and font you plan on using for your character's speech: sienna, bolded when wearing the Scarecrow mask
How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as I ****ing feel like.
Please provide a sample post with original content in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 5 paragraphs long and contain at least 3 line of dialogue):
The smell of mildew hung in the air, attack his nostrils every time he breathed in. He was strapped tightly in a straight jacket, sitting on a cold, steel chair in a stained padded cell.
But, despite these seemingly grim conditions, Jonathan Crane wore a smile as the raven-haired woman walked into the room.
"Well, hello there Doctor Kafka. How's the old job been treating you", Crane smirked smugly.
"Jonathan", replied Doctor Ashley Kafka with a nod as she moved to stand a few meters away from the restrained former head of psychiatry at Arkham Asylum.
"I was hoping we could begin where we left off the other day?"
"And where was that, Doctor", chuckled Crane.
"Do tell?"
"No mind games, Jonathan. I'm trying to help you."
"Are you now? Or are you trying to help yourself? I've read your book, you know. The Machinations of an Insane Mind: A Look Into the Minds of Madmen", Crane spoke as inhaled deeply.
"You could almost smell the arrogance wafting from the pages."
"Your 'radical' ideas and hypothesize are nothing but pure fanciful opinions meant to bolster your fragile ego."
The corner of Ashley Kafka's mouth curved ever-so-slightly into a frown. And, when Crane saw it, it was like a shark smelling blood in the water.
"That's your problem, Doctor. You act like some saint. God's gift to criminal psychosis. You strut around like you're the second coming of Freud."
"And, in some degree, you are", continued Crane as he leaned towards Dr. Kafka as much as his situation would allow.
"Freud was a fraud, and so are you", he grinned.
"This career of yours is nothing more than you wanting to put yourself next to those you deem lower than you. So you can try and boost your frail confidence because, deep down, you know you're nothing but a complete and utter farce."
Ashley Kafka stood perfectly still in silence as she looked on at the former Professor Crane. He had once been known as one of the most brilliant and respected psychologists in the world, but now all that was long gone. And Crane had done it to himself. Now he was an inmate in the very institution he once ran.
And now Ashley Kafka was the one in charge, taking Crane's job when he was captured in his Scarecrow guise and locked up.
Doctor Kafka shook her head and sighed. Walking up to the door, Ashley knocked and the guard opened up to let her out.
"I do so love our conversations, Ashley, my dear", laughed Crane to the departing Doctor.
"We're definitely making progress, I think. Why, we'll have you thinking straight in no time!"
Kafka didn't respond to Crane as the cell door closed tightly shut, sealing the Scarecrow once more alone in his dank, dark room.
