Orange is the new Black

Any ideas what's gonna happen with Morello down the line?

Well for starters I'm assuming she's "fired" from being the driver, heh. And that guard should be fired for real.

I thought they overdid the flashbacks a bit tbh this season. At this rate i'm not sure who's left to flash back too now?

The 2 Latinas that were kissing, the one with the baby, and the one that was sending the x-rated cellphone pics in season one.

The old white lady that doesn't talk, and the burn victim chick.

The 2 druggies that hung around Pennsatucky.

The older short fat lady that shared the room with Rosa.

Boo

The Asian lady that's always in the background.

^^If any of these have already had flashbacks in season one I don't remember.

...oh and also the "Greenhouse Gang".

I want to see Soso's flashback and I want to see Miss Claudette back.

So how do you think Piper and Larry going to get back together since the real Piper and Larry are actually married.

1. I didn't know that, and its kind of a spoiler. Which leads to my next point....,,,

2. Probably. But it depends.

Ew. She married that schmuck*?

*assuming that real life Larry did what show Larry did

Larry is the worst thing in the show for me. I would be fine if he and Molly are written out of S3. Probably won't happen though. :o

I'm hoping the show just starts diverging into it's own entity from the book. I have to assume that probably 80% of what we've seen so far didn't really happen to Piper in prison?

Sadly I dont think Miss Claudette will be back anytime soon. I too miss her character, but the actress who played her went into a coma after a car accident. She came out of it but she'll need time to recover

I read that Larry didnt do what he did in the show.

And I must be in the minority because I dont hate Larry at all or at least not anymore then I hate Piper

By all accounts it is. Besides the general premise I hear most of what's happening is made up for dramatic effect

Lavene Cox might find herself out the show. There's backlash over her championing a convicted transgendered child rapist and killer:

Out of all the causes in the entire world that could have been championed, the OITNB star Laverne Cox asks that you lend your support to a deranged, sadistic, life-extinguishing person who raped and murdered little Ebony Nicole Williams, then dumped her lifeless body off a highway underpass, later returning to burn her corpse.
Cox is joined in this action by the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, a transgender organization that supports incarcerated males who are serving sentences for the rape, murder, and sexual exploitation of children. The organization encourages transgender youth to write to these men, including pedophile Lewis Stevens who represents the Sylvia Rivera Law Project as “Lennea Elizabeth Stevens” in a blog on their website. Stevens is incarcerated for possessing a collection of videos of children being raped....

A petition's already made to have her fired:

That is a very tricky situation. I can support the proper treatment of transgendered people but at the same time this is a convicted criminal who murdered a child and was found in possession of child rape porn as well. Presumably the evidence left no doubt to the guilt so I wouldn't be supporting them.

Im disgusted by her. A petition likely wont work but I cant be mad at it. One shouldnt blindly support someone else just bc you identify with them. Being trangendered is now a defense? A man rapes a young girl, so he should be sent to a woman's prison where he can possibly rape more women bc he's saying he identifies as one? Theres a special place in hell reserved for people that rape and murder children. Laverne needs to sit down bc this individual doesn't need anyone's sympathy or support

I think the show has evolved past life on the outside so I dont see a point in continuing on with Larry. I dont get the hate for him though. He put up with alot more than most men would

I just watched the entire series and Soso is the absolute worse. Talk about an annoying character. She's rivaled only by maybe Alex who is a piece of ----.

Soso is annoying, but what I love about that is, the other characters recognize her as annoying. It's frustrating when a character bugs the audience all to hell, but the other characters don't seem the least bit bothered. At least with Soso they call her on every little pain the ass thing she does.

Plus the killer want to be the Son of Sam's girlfriend and was a member of the notorious Latin Kings

Well lets read her statement on the subject shall we?

Laverne's official statement from her Tumblr:

When I agreed to participate in a recent Sylvia Rivera Law Project campaign, which involved me reading a letter from a member of their Prisoner Advisory Committee, I was not aware of the charges for which she was convicted. If I had been aware of those charges, I would have never agreed to read the letter.

To everyone who has been a supporter of me and my work, as well as for those who have found inspiration in my story, it is important for me to let you know that I have never, nor would I ever, support abuse or violence against anyone, especially a child like Ebony Nicole Williams. This is something I unequivocally do not support.
My intention was to highlight the horrific conditions many trans people experience during incarceration — to shed a light where often there is only darkness.

Makes me less iffy about her supporting it though it was stupid of her not do her research.

Interesting how Laverne seems to be the breakout star of the show yet her role seemed to have shrunk in the 2nd season?

Her character didn't really do much this past season?

‘Orange Is the New Black': Jason Biggs Not Returning to Season 3

Larry, you’ve been paroled.

Jason Biggs will not be returning for season three of “Orange Is the New Black,” Netflix confirmed to Variety.

Biggs has played series regular Larry Bloom — the ex-fiance of Piper (Taylor Schilling) — since the start of “OITNB” in 2013.

“They’re not focusing on Larry at the moment,” Biggs told the New York Daily News. “Larry will not be in season three. But there’s always a possibility he can come back.”

The “American Pie” star is currently working on Broadway with Elisabeth Moss and Bryce Pinkham in “The Heidi Chronicles,” which opens Feb. 23.

“Orange Is the New Black” is set to premiere on Netflix this June.

I mean, I guess there's no real point in him appearing anymore as a regular.

Very true. His subplot was boring and had little to do with season two.

Plus the show has diverged so much from the book anyway.

I'm fine with little/no Larry. He ran off with the other lady, his story is done. Most of the time he was on screen I imagine most of the audience were quietly just holding out for a return to the prison anyway. No great loss!

Definitely not a great loss.

Perfectly fine. They wrapped up his story. Just means they'll focus on the prison characters more.

Emmys 2015: Orange Is the New Black Must Compete in Drama Category

Just like incarceration itself, the Emmys have decided, Orange Is the New Black is no laughing matter.

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has ruled that the Netflix series must compete as a drama in the running for this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards, our sister site Variety reports.

Season 3 is on RIGHT NOW

I watched the first two episodes last night. And still disappointed that Piper is now being regulated to a side character. She didn't have much screen time.

Watched the first episode and i was disappointed how they skipped the fallout from s2 finale.
