So are people finally done *****ing about his look now that it's clearly visible?

Oscar looks amazing as apocalypse. Like just perfection. What a wonderful casting choice.

I can't wait.

Still can't believe that's Oscar Isaac...

He is unrecognizable. That's one of the reasons why i like Apocalypses rather natural voice, rather than one with many effects.

I like that they let him use a more distinctive voice as well, as opposed to the wannabe Darth Vader one that he's often depicted as having.

I always have to come into this thread saying how much it doesn't look like Isaac.

btw anyone else catch his quote at the end and how it was familiar to the TAS quote?

Apocalypse Movie said:
Everything they built will fall! And from the ashes of their world we'll build a better one!
Apocalypse TAS said:
Each generation has cried out for a new world, but builds the same old one - corrupt and weak! But the new world shall come to pass. I will purge the earth of these benighted humans!

The TAS quotes were better though. I hope Singer pulls at least the, "I am as far beyond as mutants as they are beyond you!" quote, because I wholeheartedly believe that Singer, Kinberg, Dougherty and Harris could never write a line of dialogue as incredible as that.

Tbh if you go and listen to John Colicos, of course you're gonna be like "its not the same!". And I do understand. But John Colicos' voice work is a tall order. I guess they could've pulled a James Earl Jones with Apoc, but they would've never done something like that to such a great, up and coming actor like Isaac who's also a fan of the character.

Point is, I get if some are not satisfied but I like it so far.

I like Apoc's voice. I think Singer said it was a blend of different accents, which is pretty cool.

Hated his look originally, he looks awesome in the trailer. Love it now.

I didn't know think much of the look at first either, but I also knew it wasn't the finalised one and said at the time I would wait for that to judge. It's happened with lots of characters so I just don't judge until we see the final product now.

Could someone help clarify something for me? I haven't been falling every interview and production detail for this film and I only saw the trailer for the first time today.

So is Singer and company trying to present their version of Apocalypse as "the" God from the Old Testament/Judaism in the way that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has established their Thor as the actual Thor from the Norse Mythology within the MCU?

Or is it the case where some folks had just mistaken Apocalypse to be God in the past as a result of his powers in the past?

They're playing it like many religious texts are an interpretation of Apocalypse.

Thanks for the response.

So basically, if I read that right, he's essentially the founder of several real life religions within the X-Men universe?

Hmm... not sure how I feel about this to be honest, sounds kind of offensive if you ask me.

His sound is soft, they better fix it.
Also a lot to do with CGI.
But his look at poster is 'Perfection'.
