Our "Space Princess": David Corenswet IS Clark Kent/Superman!

At the very least, Fode can give us an insight into the process. If, and If, he is at least being screen tested, he will most surely let us know, since he seems to post these things on IG.

But he does truly represent the Welling, Routh, Cavill situation in that he has a look, but not a lot of talent. It doesn't help that he is a tool, judging from his posts and representation online.

If it is him, one has to wonder how bad everyone elses prospects were

I did a quick search of this Fodé fellow and the resulting articles all say essentially the same thing: soap opera background and looks the part — but the notion that he's in serious consideration for Supes is mere speculation. However, no one mentioned any major disqualifying issues (karaoke fisticuffs, cannibalism fetish, etc.).

Other than following Zack Levi's greatest visionaries of our time. :o

Off screen character should matter, particularly for a character like Superman, you can't have a divisive or unlikeable personality off screen or you're already fighting an uphill battle.

It's really important to me, and with Superman most of all. I can tolerate for eg RDJ being a bit mean to someone in real life when he's playing snarky Tony Stark (still wouldn't like it though), but I hold the Superman actor to a much higher standard and want them to be a consistently good person in real life (like Reeve). Dean Cain was such a massive disappointment. :csad:

I was going to mention this Dean Cain's probably the only Superman actor in the last 40 years that has been unlikable or divisive, fortunately it came years after he played Superman with some of his political stances. At least I can't recall any problems with him in the 90's but that was before the dawn of social media.

It's best to avoid political or controversial topics if you plan on having a flourishing career anyways as you're almost certainly going to upset someone with whatever stance you take.

Supposedly there are screen tests now going on, and I was hoping there would be some information spilling out.

LIKE ALMOST ANYTHING. Dang. Can someone just make stuff up, just to make me interested?

Well SAG is going to strike, so I imagine screentests might be slowing down.

Wouldn't literally the opposite be happening right now? SAG gave authorization to its leaders to strike, but the strike will only happen if their leaders don't have a deal by June 30th. In these scenarios studios typically rush things these couple weeks in case there is a strike. There were a ton of scripts being done the weeks right before the WGA strike because studios wanted to prepare for that, for example.

I think since The Flash is tracking badly they may have postponed them a little bit to avoid taking attention away from it.

Don't really get big Clark Kent vibes out of that scene

It definitely had shades of Clark IMO, but it shows (more importantly) that Coronswet can do that plucky, upbeat, 'aw shucks' kind of approach to Clark - if Gunn decided to go down that Reeve route, rather than making him more serious and stoic like the last few versions we've seen (Cavill/Hoechlin/Welling - and Routh to a degree).

The question now is if he can differentiate that from his Superman approach - which should still be warm and positive, but more decisive, affirming and less of the nervous energy that Clark would exhibit.

He can do both no problem.

As the Kornenswet fan do you have any scenes of him being serious and strong?
There are scenes of him being naturalistic and serious (and just like, a normal cop) in We Own This City, but I havent seen clips of that online, and even if there were, they probably couldn’t be posted here due to language. Idk what you mean by “strong” though. When I think “strong,” I think calm and confident like in that clip.

I do totally see Supes in those clips you have posted but I guess what I mean by strong is the moments that Supes needs to be confronting with a villain.

I often compare Supes to a firefighter and when the time calls they need to kick down doors and put on the serious face just as much as they need to be comforting, I am just wanting to see that tough side of Cornerstone.
