Our "Space Princess": David Corenswet IS Clark Kent/Superman!

The pictures surely are impressive. People have noticed his arms, but in the frontal shot of him carrying what appears to be luggage, his pectorals look immensely large. I have to say, even in an oversized t shirt, his chest looks impressive, almost bulletproof, if you know. WOW.

Others may know more and better info, but it was my understanding that with actors in superhero movies, one starts by bulking, and eating large amounts of calories, pizza, beef, pasta etc to gain size(which may be where David is at the moment), while in the second stage, one eats steamed chicken, broccoli and rice, while getting more cut and defined.

It is also my understanding, that the general public sees the more defined and cut individual as bigger and stronger, even though they have less mass overall. But the definition of the actor is what the audience sees as stronger and more muscular. In either way, Corenswet does appear at this time, to look "Super."

I honestly wasn't expecting him to make such impressive gains this fast. Our boy is committed!

Honestly easier to find pics of him with dogs than without. :funny:

Clark and Krypto will have amazing chemistry. It is known. :hehe:

I think his size is good already. Cavill was almost too large for his height.
He didnt seem to be able to have his arms down at his sides normally. Almost like a bodybuilder.

I don’t know how much Cosmo was played by a real dog in GOTG, but I really hope there’s a real dog playing Krypto for the most part.
According to Gunn, not a single frame of Cosmo was played by an actual dog if I recall correctly.

I actually heard every frame of Cosmo was played by an actual dog

I'm honestly hoping that David will have something like his Hollywood physique when it's all said and done.

While I respect the effort, I’m not a fan of Cavill’s bodybuilder Superman physique, it just looks unnatural to me.

Sure, he’s an alien, but still.

I still think y’all drastically overhype how big Cavill got. He was reasonably-sized for a Post-Crisis Superman.

I think what drove me crazy is that from BvS onward they decided to add extra padding to the suit and he looked more and more like a stuffed sausage.

Oh no, if my better half sees this, put it this way. Similar to Smallville when Tom Welling kept taking his shirt off, suddenly he’s way into superman than I am

I just thought it was funny how Cavill's arms were seemingly so big that he couldn't ever seem to perfectly bring them down to his sides. Guy always walked around like an action figure with very few points of articulation.

The problem was it was too much for his relatively small frame, so it looked like it limited his mobility and made his arms and legs look short and stubby. That exact same amount of muscle on a taller frame like David’s would probably look just fine.

Yep. Like everything else they did to Cavill in those movies his costumes massively undercut him. He looks like hot garbage in BvS with that ugly ass suit and hideous, oily looking flat hair.

I don't really have a huge issue with Cavill's body or size though. Superman doesn't need to be built like that but I don't think he looks grotesque and weird like, I dunno, Chris Hemsworth or Kumail Nanjiani do. I could even be convinced that he wasn't (entirely) roided up, tbh.

Mfs still don't give enough flack to BvS for this absolutely DEAD trim :skull:

Christ it looks bad. Why is it so flat? Black Adam is a dumb as bricks movie and Cavill's stupid cameo foreshadowed nothing but further humiliation for the character and Cavill himself but it is wild how much better he looked.

It's quite possibly the most unflattering to Cavill's hairline I've ever seen lmao

What's more absurd is that this unflattering haircut makes way more sense for Clark Kent, while his CK hairstyle is much better.

What I also never got is why they went opposites with the way his hair goes. Superman has his hair parted to the right side, because that historically has always been seen as indicating a more confident personality, whereas parting to the left was always seen as indicating a softer personality. Even if that's probably a bunch of nonsense, Superman's always had his hair parted to the right and Clark has always had it parted to the left as far as I know. So them going opposite ways, including with that awful hair for Superman is just...

so bizarre lmao

Okay, I’m all for dunking on BVS, but when we’ve landed on right vs. left hair parting…

Yeah that seems consistent with Reeve's portrayal:

Zack intentionally did this to reflect the political polarization of our great nation, and you damn well know it! :o

What I mean is if you're gonna have Cavill do both hair partings as Clark/Superman respectively, why not do it the same way as he does in the comics?

Yes, this is the nitpickiest of nitpicks that ever nitpicked, but I will always take an opportunity to dunk on BvS lmao
