Our "Space Princess": David Corenswet IS Clark Kent/Superman!

Or a 3rd sequel to jaws.
"That Twister, is seeking REVENGE!!!"

David's Buffness is approaching optimal levels. Bigger than Pattinson's batman was for sure.
Looks twice Pattinson’s bulk to me, unless it’s a deceptive angle. Having 3 inches on Cavill, he is probably going to look bigger overall. I don’t think he needs to do any more work on bulking up, mission accomplished early doors lol.

He does look quite large, I do wonder if he or the producers want him to get much bigger. Extremely impressed with his forearms, Popeye like. I do hope they use a material similar to Dean Cain's, not the suit, but the material allowed for natural look to being muscular. To me at least, Corenswet looks fine in that picture, with the correct material he probably wouldn't need a muscle suit, or much of one.

He doesn’t need to get to Hulk size lol. I like Superman looking agile and fast as well as strong.

I'm surprised that he's already bulked out this much. While I'm no professional, I figured that he could wait a little while longer before hitting the gym since filming doesn't start until next March.

I’m glad to see he’s looking so fit. Once I went to dreamworld in Queensland Australia and I’m sad to report upon viewing one of the actors dressed as superman a kid was heard to remark “why is superman looking so fat?” :seenoevil:

Yeah I hate the muscle suits with fake abs.
That said, they went the opposite way with BR in SR.
It was like his suit was part boa constrictor.

I do charity work for children and dress as Superman as well. Kids know for absolute sure and saw how they react to not-so-in-shape JL or Avengers volunteers lol. Whenever an event is scheduled, I make sure to hit the weightroom and I don't do muscle suits. You can count on children to be honest.

He's pretty much perfect based on my preferences, obviously depends on the suit material but I cant imagine he'd look bad in at at this size.
Yeah his underlying shape and overall frame would look great without needing any help from a muscle suit.

Nothing wrong with getting ahead of the game. :cwink: Maybe dude wants to start living as Superman early to get into that headspace. I prefer hero actors (and particularly those playing a classic hero (ie not an antihero or snarky hero)) to be an ambassador in real life like Christopher Reeve (and not Dean Cain). Hopefully Corenswet is committing and in for the long haul.

I think the studio as a company is still in some challenging times as there will be an inevitable sell in these next few years, and Gunn's contract is for four. Just got to take it one film at a time, starting with Legacy. By 2025, who knows where the landscape will be, including the CBM box office. I'm going to enjoy things for what they are now one thing at a time instead of buying into a universe in its entirety since anything can hit the floor at any givin time.

I tend to agree. I would love for the DCU to be able to save them, but I seriously doubt it will.
Gone are the days of seeing a CB film make infinity war and endgame type numbers.

We may see one or two of the DCU films break a billion, but probably not much past that.
Most will probably make 600 to 700 million.
( some a little less, some a little more )

Haha, yep they are blunt when it comes to this kind of thing. Great that you do that and great that you can pull off the look.

Definitely weird times for sure, but I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing that the CBM market is reset. It probably needed that anyway for things to settle down. As dire straights WBD may be in from a studio perspective, Gunn does have a chance to set things up and give us something different. If Legacy is indeed great, it can really benefit everything as a whole. I'm just glad Superman is getting another shot.

As for the BO, the way it's going at this givin time, I'd guesstimate that $500 mil is the new barometer to what will be a success for Legacy, but we shall see. Going to be interesting for sure. I am just excited to see Corenswet's reveal. For me to get back into it, it was David or bust after Cavill. I'm happy Gunn made the right choice.

Okay, but honestly… good.

That whole practice of throwing 200-300 million at the thing hoping for 1 billion in return has really caused things to creatively plateau lately.

Forcing the people who make these to find ways to stretch a dollar might be just the thing to reinvigorate this genre.

This is one of the reasons why I was hoping for a more street-level, small stakes plot for Legacy, that could be done with a 100-150m max budget.

Although this movie's budget will probably fall exactly in that 200 million range.

I’m hoping the budget is somewhat within reason, but considering it’s a) Superman and b) the one kicking this whole thing off, I would expect the budget to be on the heftier side.

But the likes of The Authority and Swamp Thing? Let’s keep our heads on straight and budget those appropriately.
