May I quote the Flash "I am the fastest man alive".

In the Marvel Universe, anyone can. As long as the race takes place within the Marvel Universe.

That's not entirely true.

From Wikipedia
"A story in the Marvel comic book series Quasar had the Marvel universe speedsters facing off in a competition set up by a being called The Runner. The contest was a race from the Earth to the Moon. During the race, a surge of energy hit the track, leaving a being with blonde hair and dressed in the remains of a red outfit with yellow boots. This being had no memory, but an enormous desire to run. He would go on to win the race, passing Marvel speedsters such as Quicksilver and Northstar in the process. When asked what his name was, the man replied, "I don't know... Buried Alien, or something like that." When asked how it felt to be the fastest man alive, he replied, "It feels... right!" Buried Alien would go on to take the name Fast-Forward, disappearing into the universe in an attempt to help a fellow speedster who was stuck at hyper speed. "

Not Prof. X =(

^lol. he can walk now so yeah :)

I think the question is in relation to who in the Marvel universe could possibly be at the same level (speedster-wise) to DCs Flash and so it mainly concerns Marvel and so i think it's right being in the Marvel forum.

Quicksilver (when he was a speedster) was never supposed to be a near-lightspeed runner like various Flash's have reached (even breaking lightspeed, with all that speed force stuff). So usually i'd say "noone" but the Sentry is supposed to have near limitless power, being comparable to Superman and with the speedforce (last time i checked) supposedly 'gone' (tho we all know it'll be back) and so any man carrying the name Flash quite a bit slower than at their peak (as happens after one of DCs Crisis') i'd say definitely the Sentry.

He said "no flying". In the Marvel Universe? Probably the Runner with the Time Gem, but that's technically cheating.

Can Silver Surfer count? I mean even not on his board isn't he fast?

depends on which Flash...Wally West Flash and Jay Garrick Flash, pretty much any speedster could go at least as fast as them...but Barry Allen Flash could go faster than the speed of light, so not a god damn person :o

what's your point? it's still sentry. did u miss where i said he's essentially superman (means he's quick)

Wally much, much faster than Barry ever was. He has a stronger link to the speedforce.

Batman prep-time.

Did I quote you? Did I use your name?

Makkari of the Eternals had limitless speed
Hermes the roman greco diety should be able to out run Flash
Hulk....basing his leg muscles on the madder he gets the stronger he gets should be able to run Flash speeds
Northstar....many people forget his power is to move at superhuman speeds and not just fly...he used his powers to cheat in the Olympics

I havent read anything but early Wally stories where he could only go the speed of sound...but it doesnt matter now, cause he's dead...or gone, or something, they still havent explained that too well...

just like Barry

Well, given the fact that Wally raced Superman BEFORE the Speed Force was invented (AND WON, I might add), and if Quicksilver raced Sentry, perhaps, Quicksilver (ugh) would win.
But factoring in the extent of Quicksilver and Sentry's abilities (which I am a little behind on,) and given the fact that both Quicksilver and Sentry are Marvel counterparts of Flash and Superman....
umm, and the dynamics of what composes the Marvel universe....
(let's see, carry the one....times the speed of light....and the hypotenuse of pie is equal to the square root of uh-huh....)
Um,

Is anyone here, a Marvel Speediologist?

He's back from the Speed Force, we just haven't seen him yet (as of Flash OYL #1).

Barry's death was just as depicted in CoEI. Just because people aren't supposed to remember the details of the first crisis and they don't clearly remember how he died (besides fighting a great threat) doesn't mean that it hasn't been explained.

Didn't Barry essentialy go back in time and became the lightning bolt that hit his younger self? I think I read that somewhere.
