For me I just see nothing that looks or sounds good of that film for me to waste ny money on that dreck.

2015 has by far been the worst year for CBMs according to me. AOU was a mess, Ant-Man was really really mediocre, and FF was a passable-decent film at best.

Aou I really enjoyed I only had a few issues with it. And antman to me was enjoyable fun and a very solid film. Ff was a mess from the start and all the rumors of its troubled production. It from day one didn't look to be good at all. I wished so much fix had given the rights back. And not done ff again.

Hey guys looking for a little help and opinion of something. In a month at a con I am going to this artist Chris campana, going to be at show.

I am planning on him doing a a drawing for me but looking for a little bit of ideas. Should I just get a regular sketch from him. Or should I have him do something on a blank cover. If I do blank cover I am either getting it for asm vol. 3 relaunch blank cover. Or maybe a blank cover for a issue of renew your vowels. And I wanted to see what folks think be good to get done.

At this same show last yr former spidey artist alex Saviuk drew me a wicked sweet 9x12 spidey drawing. I am just a blanking what I want done this show.

Here is a link to his work:

Alex Saviuk still draws Spidey in the daily newspaper strips.

I think the idea of drawing on a blank cover seems more appealing.

Any thoughts on what I should ask for. Cause I don't know what spidey thing I like drawn. I likely do it on cover. Just need to grt a blank cover before show which likely be either a blank for renew your vows or the last amazing relaunch. Counts on which either ones my shop still has copies of.

Redraw the cover of Amazing Annual 21.
Spidey in costume holding MJ, and the supporting cast in the background.
It will be mixing both the original and variant covers.

should i get that on blank renew your vows, or asm. Any one else have some ideas i can use and pass off to the artist to see how much that run me?

It will work better on Renew your Vows, no false hope when you open a standard Amazing Spider-Man issue to see single Peter.

any other thoughts for cover ideas, i was thinking about maybe a spidey/venom cover like venom in the shadows or coming into the cover from side/bottom and attacking spidey in some fashion.

Just thought of the corner image they used to have on the bottom of their covers back in the 80s and 90s, like Spidey's image, Spidey 30th anniversary, and some.
You might ask for an image of Venom in that vein, maybe like McFarlane's Venom.

Well talked with the artist and he said either ideas we talked about be good. And gave me a good price for if I get cover done.

If I did homage to wedding annual. Should I be just peter and mj mj with pete fully suited up, peter with mask pulled up to see face, or mask off but clutched in one of the hands.

I like the idea of the mask clutched in one of his hands more.

ya sounds good to me too, i just thought to ask to see if any one else had any thoughts on my ideas.

ya i will do, show isnt to middle of sept so its still a few weeks away. Right now i am waiting to hear back from the artist to make sure we have all details worked out and know if he needs any more info now before he comes to the show in my area. So i know i will get the work done.

So is it me or is Danny Phantom highly inspired by Spider-Man? Teenage boy in high school dealing with evil villains. Heck his ghost sense is exactly like the Spider-Sense. He even sounds a bit like Peter from Spectacular Spider-Man. He even has the whole MJ/Harry thing going with Sam and Tucker. Vlad also reminds me of Norman Osborn in ways that are well to obvious to explain. Hell now that I think about it they even pulled a clone saga arc. I also realize Skulker is like Kraven and Technus is like Doc Ock.

I remember that toon a bit I don't think it was a spidey rip.

Well on that front then the creators probably just where spidey fans and wanted to throw winks in there show.

It's not a rip off in a bad sense, It's just a sub genre that doesn't belong to Spider-man. It's just Spider-man created and popularized it, the idea of a teenage superhero. Not the first show that took elements from it. Static Shock and Batman Beyond did as well. I recall seeing a lot of elements from a bunch of popular shows/comic/etc referenced or used, the important part is that it retained it's own voice. That's the difference between "inspired by" and "ripped off"

so i finally heard back on that artist. things are a go. So once the con happens in a few weeks and i get cover done, i will post it any one would like to see what i got done.

Got a $50 dollar Amazon gift card for my birthday yesterday, so I put it to good use and now I'll be getting Batman: The Killing Joke and Spider-Man: Blue next week. :)

Ok guys so I have things set up with artist to do that blank cover for my blank of renew your vowels. Again show isn't to sept 11 to 13. So I hope to catch artist on day one of the show. So once I get it done. I def post images of the work.

Spiderman blue was a great read. I have the actual single issues for that mini.
