Outlaw King (Chris Pine, Ben Foster)

Aaron Taylor-Johnson was Douglas ? I didn't even recognized him :)
Anyways, I liked the movie, good sets, good costumes, acting was fine but even my French ears noticed the accent slip from C.Pine.
It might not have been 100% historically accurate but which movie of the kind is ?

This is what's putting me off watching it lol as a Scotsmen there is nothing worse than hearing someone doing a bad Scottish accent in a movie.

I’ve walked through a lot of the places this was filmed (including whole it was filming). Was fun to see the end product.

It is not a big deal for me anyways, have I had watched it in French there would have been no accent at all :)
In bold : not sure at all if it is proper grammar.

Pine's accent was fine to my ears. Reserved and didnt seem forced.

I enjoyed this, but I wouldn't call it a great film or a classic. It's well acted, directed and I loved the brutal insanity of the final battle, but something was definitely missing with this movie. I don't know, but I think it could have been way more epic and I honestly wasn't a big fan of how the British were portrayed. Outside of Stephen Dillane as King Edward the rest of them felt so cartoony to me, especially the idiot of a son who was just a poor excuse of a villain and not menacing in the slightest. Chris Pine does a solid job acting wise here too, but his Scottish accent sounded inconsistent at times and I didn't really care much for his love interest either.

My favorite parts of this movie were easily the scenes with Aaron Taylor-Johnson. I thought he was great.

7/10
The Scots are British. I think you mean English. Britain is the name of the island (which includes the countries of England, Scotland and Wales).

The movie was ok. I was entertained. All Pines talk of it being more accurate than Braveheart is garbage. The movie was not historically accurate. Edward the 2nd was not riding with his father when he died and Longshanks was buried at a Abby in London. Edward and Robert the Bruce never had a one on one fight at the Battle of Loudoun Hill. If Robert kicked Edward's ass you would of bet everyone would know about it. Edward the second was also depicted as being almost cartoony evil when in reality he was reluctant to assume the mantle of kingship and was known to be generous with his servants.

Robert killing John Comyn because he was going to snitch to the English is dubious as well. It didn't play out like it did in the film. They already cut a deal that Comyn would take all Roberts lands in exchange for withdrawing his claim for the Scottish crown, Comyn was the most powerful noble in Scotland and for more trusted than Robert the Bruce who had a history of switching support between the English and Scottish armies. Comyn actually had the better track record of opposing the English.

One of Roberts sisters was put in a cage outside a castle.
