I figured this could use its own thread.
By now, most of us know that Ozymandias will have a slight German accent when speaking in private with his fellow ex-Crimebusters (or Watchmen in the film). In public, however, he uses his adopted American accent.

While reading the GN, I always imagined Ozymandias to have an American accent, nothing more. Since he was born in Germany but moved to America when he was a baby, I wouldn't really expect him to maintain a German accent. Now I don't recall anywhere in the book where it said that he spoke with a German accent in private. But then again, there isn't anything in the book to signify that he doesn't speak with a German accent in private, either. Not even in the supplemental material at the end of each chapter, unless I missed something.
So what are your opinions on it? Personally, I think it's a nice touch. I think it works for the character. I think it plays into the mystique of Ozymandias. It's funny. I didn't care much for the film version of Ozymandias before, but after that clip, I'm very interested to see what Matthew Goode and Zack Snyder have done with the character.
