Comedy Parks and Recreation - Part 2

I didn't mind Mark. I didn't really miss him when he left, but I can say the same for Aziz. I literally didn't even notice Tom was missing for those few episodes before the finale.

Yeah, Aziz can be pretty funny on his stand up, but he can get too obnoxious in this show. His character is also too unlikable at times.

Aziz got goofier but not in a good way like Andy. He was great still just a tad more extravagant.

The best thing about the tom Haverford character was Jean Ralphio, IMO.

did they ever resolve the storyline between Tom and Tatiana Maslany?

Jean Ralphio had the funniest send off in the finale. Him at his funeral was hilarious.

I don't think so, which is too bad. I liked her better

Nah, and I was kinda bummed that they just dropped her, but then I know the filming of Orphan Black S3 did go super long, which forced Tatiana to drop out of another project, so maybe she just wasn't available in time to do one last guest spot. She and Amy Poehler seem to be friendly now (I know Tatiana moderated one of Amy's book events not too long ago, and they've hung out at other events), so I kinda doubt they just decided not to invite her back.

She was fine, but lest we forget, Lucy got the Swanson seal of approval. That just can't be topped.

So she basically got Chuck Cunningham'ed out of the show?

Well...Chuck just went "out," while Nadia went to Rwanda, so it's a little less strange, lol.

She and Lucy were pretty much interchangeable to me (and I feel like Tatiana was brought on as a potential Lucy replacement when they thought they wouldn't get Natalie Morales back)...both "cool girls" who inexplicably found Tom charming, so whatever.

I thought Chuck "went upstairs" never to return.

Happy that they were able to bring Lucy back though.

Ha, that may be. For some reason I thought he was going to basketball practice or something, but that could be totally made up, lol.

I put off watching the finale for so long because I didn't want it to be over. I just finished it. So perfect.

It's over though. :csad:

I'm late to the party on this one but I just started watching this a few days ago after finishing Broad City. Halfway through season 3 now, loving it so far.

Blu Ray or GTFO, but since it will be on Netflix for the time being I can hold off.

There's an article and video going around with Nick Offerman telling an audience how Leslie and Ron would respond to Indiana's "Religious Freedom" bill, and it's f***ing amazing.

I'm watching a season 1 rerun right now, and it's crazy how much more attractive April got over the course of the series.

Pretty much everyone got more attractive after the 1st season or 2. Leslie's hair looked distractingly awful to me in S2 especially, but after that it got much better, and Amy seemed to start aging backwards. I feel like a similar thing happened with Ann. And when Chris Pratt started getting into shape for Moneyball...:ilv:

Ron's just about the only one who didn't change, because you don't change perfection.

Some stories from PRatt
Chris Pratt loves to talk trash -- but don't expect him to do it to your face. At least not on purpose.

Witness the thing with Kim Kardashian.
The "Guardians of the Galaxy" actor, who's starring in "Jurassic World" later this summer, crossed paths with the reality diva on the set of 2009's "Deep in the Valley," a movie with a lewd, porn-related comedic premise that Pratt called "not good."

"She'd never really done an acting gig before," he explained to GQ in its June issue. "She was so ... sweet, and she was nervous."
Anyway, that sweet thing was apparently on his mind a while later when, as Andy Dwyer on "Parks and Recreation," he ad-libbed a joke at her expense. The gag was too crude for network TV or for this blog, but the GQ article has the gist of it. Hint: It riffed on her sex tape.

"It was a very, very funny joke," Pratt said, but one that in hindsight he specifically requested remain on the cutting-room floor. Not even for DVD-blooper consideration. However, in the charming way that Hollywood works, it eventually surfaced Years later he ran into her on an airplane, he said, and tried his best to go unnoticed.
"It's really kind of a bummer," Pratt told the magazine. "She probably doesn't know or doesn't care, I'm sure, but I don't like to make jokes at other people's expense, if I can help it."

But wait, that's not exactly right.

"I like to keep my jokes about people safely way behind their backs...," he clarified. "If I'm gonna make a joke at someone's expense, I'll do it so that they can never hear it."
That wasn't the only time Pratt's improvisation got him in hot water on the "Parks and Rec" set. There was also the occasion, during a series of takes in which his character was supposed to surprise Amy Poehler's character by showing up in a doorway naked, when he actually got completely naked on set. Seems he'd been "naked a lot" as a kid growing up. Surprise!

NBC was not pleased.

"HR sent me a letter. Someone obviously must have complained about it or something," Pratt said. "I guess now that I don't work for them, I can make fun of it, but part of the letter was saying, like, 'Also, don't mock this. Just so we're clear, you're being reprimanded, and don't go around talking about how this is funny.'"

In recent years, Pratt said, he's learned to keep his clothes on.

.
The Kardashian joke itself was a chuckle, but even funnier was everyone's reaction. I don't think I can post a link of it though.

I feel that's most TV series. Everyone always looks better as the show goes on. I don't know if they get a budget increase so they get better makeup, wardrobe, etc. but yeah that's what I usually notice.

It's Always Sunny kinda made fun of that with Fat Mac
