Umm.. Sorry. I just can't see a direct from the comics adaptation. I can't see Paul with just red face paint and a skin tight suit doing this. This is the same issue I have with people wanting THANOS to be all physical/practical effects. The amount of time it takes just for camera set ups, bathroom breaks, make up retouches... The list goes on and on. There may be some physical make up and costuming, sure, but I think the majority will be mocap. Look at what Snyder did in MOS with the Jor-el and Zod fight. When you look at the BTS features and the like it's astounding to me that they were in mocap suits for their whole fight. Ultron is gonna be mocap, why would his "son" not also be?

In all seriousness though when Vision first showed up he wasn't a robot he was a synthezoid, he was essentially a synthetically created organic being, ala Blade Runner, Battle Star Galactica.

Later he was reconned as a mechanical robot, I think in the 90's.
