The Dark Knight Penguin role

who do you guys think should play the role of the penguin in an upcoming movie?

Or do you think he should not be included at all?

Bob Hoskins. He should cameo in #2, as an arms dealer for Black Mask, or somebody, as a hint of a plot for #3.

Once Maroni goes (presuming he usurps the Falcone empire), The Penguin and Rupert Thorne should fight for the mob control of Gotham. All this while the Joker has his own agender and Two Face is going crazy.

exactly...have several plots going on so he's constantly focusing on more than one thing....

and did Falcone escape in the 1st one?

No Hoffman. He's no penguin. He's tall... why should they call him The Penguine. Bob Hoskins... or Joe Pesci.

Can anyone do a manip of someone as The Penguin? I haven't seen a Penguin Manip yet.

Phillip seymour hoffman....... omg.. he'd be awesome

also, just imagine if he lost some wieght, he could pull the joker mentallity off perfectly.............

he needs to be in this movie in some shape or form, heck let him play Robin.... okay, maybe not Robin

I'm in the Phillip Seymour Hoffman camp also.

And having Penguin as an owner of a company that rivals Bruce Wayne would be a nice twist.

And please, No mutant Penguin with black goo coming from his mouth living in a sewers.

personally, i thought DeVito was perfect, and Burton nailed the look.

in burtons world he nailed the look 100%.

but in nolans vision he can not look like that. in nolans gotham he can not even be small fat and have a big nose.

Small, fat and a big nose is the Peguin.

It's like the Joker without his grin (not neccessary a perminent one). You can have someone look like that and still be "realistic" just not to such extremes as Tim burtons had.

And especially no black goo coming from his mouth, no long hair that need to be comb and you certainly have to do away with the Flipper hands.

Get back to what the Penguin was in the books, a cunning aristcrat that secretly turned to crime but still runs in the same high class society circles as Bruce Wayne does.

spot on man, I could totaly see that too, Batman knowing of what crimes the penguin is commiting, but then Bruce having to see and deal with cobblepot when he's bruce wayne, how does he react, as Bruce or Batman.....

I could almost see Cobbelpot trying to partner up with Bruce, that way Bruce knows his plans.... then the situation arises of Bruce possibly giving away his identity of Batman by knowing all of the penguins plans and schemes

You know that John Rhys-Davies is like 6' and a few inches tall. It didn't stop him top play Gimli the Dwarf!!!

This is how I envision The Penguin in the Sequel.

An aristocrat, not a mutant with long hair and black gook coming out his mouth.

His nose is big but not outlandish and slight overweight and perhaps no monocle (but either way is cool with me).

someone find a great hi res pic og hoffman, and I'll do a manip

/\ yeah bob hoskins right? that would be a cool Penguin

and he's short

i hated the Super Mario Bros movie i mean i hope the screenwriters for that movie have been killed execution style.
