I'm finally all caught up with the last 3 episodes. Some random thoughts:

- I absolutely love the mythology in this show. Making Lucifer and head vamp (Dracula???) brothers cast out on different realms was brilliant and a good way to make it consistent with the S1 story.

- Is this plot going to end this season? I just can't see Kali returning next season. Will Hecate be the next threat? I love this internal conflict between her and Kali. I died at all her age related shades on Kali.

- Lyle continues to be a favorite of mine. I just love how despite Kali having something on him, he continues to be Team Vanessa. He probably also ships Ethan and Vanessa.

- Loved the Ethan/Vanessa-centric episode especially the montage parts. Wifey! Oh Vanessa. Why must you open that book?! Am I the only one underwhelmed by the reason the book was opened and the timing of it? Like, if she wanted revenge, couldn't she have opened the book immediately after Joan was killed? Why just now? Also, that guy is a friggin' human. He could be easily killed without the book. No need to open that book for that. Anyway, it should be interesting how Ethan will react once he finds out about Brona/Lily. I thought it was nice that he mentioned her.

- Goodness Lily! You crazy awesome woman. That monologue was perfection. I was laughing at how confused Caliban was when she was ranting about being abused as a woman. He had no idea where the heck that came from. Girl wants to rule the world and she just made Caliban her b**ch. Oh Viktor. You have no idea what kind of hurt awaits you.

- I feel the same for both Viktor and Caliban. At times, they frustrate me and I hate them but there are still moments where I feel for them. I hate the whole "he's just misunderstood" excuse for villains but that's kinda how I feel about Caliban. He's no saint but I still feel sorry for him. Gotta agree with the one who said that they bring the worst out of each other. I like Viktor the most when he's interacting with the team. I think that's when he's at his best. I also love how Vanessa kind of looks after him.

- Sembene, my man! We need more of this guy. He's too awesome.

- I'm still meh on Dorian and his plot but at least there was some progress albeit predictable.

- Glad to see our theory about Ethan being special turning out to be true. He is the Hound of God! There's still the plot about the detective so I'm guessing that'll play out on the next 2 episodes?

- And oh.... WE'RE GETTING A SEASON 3???? YES!!!!

I just want to see Sembene and Ethan tear those witches up, mayne. Those two will make a lethal duo and Nessa using her spells to battle as well.

Lyle better survive this season.

Caliban seems to be different from Proteus and Lily. It seems like he is a classic creation, who is made up from a bunch of different people. Or that is at least how I take it.

Good point. It would explain that big scar on his head, as new tissue has been transplanted.

I see either him or Sir Malcolm biting the dust by the end of this season. More probably Lyle though. I will miss him. It's always very amusing to watch him.

He doesn't seem to have memories of a past life like the other two, and generally seems more ghoulish in appearance. So yeah, I'd say he's probably like the book version: a creature made from the pieces of several different men, which might also explain his strength.

Caliban was a botch of a first attempt by Victor.

Proteus was a more refined second attempt.

Lily is his best "creation" in terms of aesthetic and intelligence.

But no matter how much Victor improves his "formula", people will always come back "wrong".

As for killing Sir Malcolm, I doubt they'd do it too, but it would definitely be a game changer. Even though I'd really hate to see him gone, I am curious where would the show go without him. And, as a storyteller myself, I always respect when authors have the balls to shake the core of their universe, as opposed to playing it safely.

Still, I hope he will survive.

There's just too much foreshadowing with him finally giving his background, the whole "you are my friend" speech to Ethan, etc. I'm guessing his death will be a catalyst for Ethan's manpain next arc. My only hope right now is if maybe he turns to a werewolf too or maybe Viktor will revive him. He's an "expert" in the bringing the dead back after all.

Maybe supers can detect other supers. It is a little disappointing that it seems like Lily is shopping for a guy to take over the world with her. If she's all over Dorian I guess she's leaving John Claire in the dust. I'm not liking this in her.

When it comes to Brona, my money is on her being the big bad next season. My question is, will she have a stable? Maybe the creature, Dorian, Hecate (if she survives), etc.

Last night's episode might have been the shows best. Every bit of it was interesting. The Vanessa/Frankenstein scene might be my favorite of the show. Also really liked Hecate tempting Ethan and Ethan/Sembene bro time. Too bad they ruined that.

This was completely Ethan's fault. Sembene told him repeatedly not to go. He would not listen. If Ethan had told Vanessa about his condition, like Sembene told him too, then maybe she would have waited.
