hmm...what about that scene where Vanessa says to Ethan about her accepting him
Also didn't anyone find it cruel for Caliban to let the Putney daughter live? Or was it a mercy?
I liked Lily to start the season, but the last couple of episodes have made her far less fascinating imo.I guess I'm alone in despising Lilly. God she rubs me the wrong way.
Fantastic finale tho.
Ethan was a fool. Vanessa was a BAMF. Caliban was Caliban. Lyle was funny yet deadly when he needed to be. Victor was a whipped little *****. Sir Malcolm had had enough of camouflaged witches.
I hope they aren't all separated for long next season. This show is better when all the players are together. When it has to deal with disconnected elements (Dorian in season one and most of two) it suffers.
Pretty sure it wasn't, as the creator of the show has mentioned that Dracula was suppose to be in the episode originally, but wasn't.I was under the bleief that what they fought last season was Dracula?
YT link:She had it coming TBH. I think Caliban was about to show her mercy but she started taunting him again and so he left her alone with her dead parents as punishment (instead of just killing her).
ETA - GUYS WATCH THIS NOW!
That wedding picture! Treadaway dancing?!

It is her birthday. Happy B-day to our favorite goddess. This is why Eva is my fave top actress. She exceeds all my expectations...So I see what you mean DarthSkywalker. I remember back during season 1, a lot of ppl complained it had too much of her. Well, what do you expect? The show is supposed to revolve around her. I am pretty sure John Logan said that and one of the reasons he wanted Eva was her to be part of his creation. And it shows how much of an actress she really is when she is committed. I love that about Eva. She needs more loving.![]()
I think today is her birthday![]()
Literary possibilities
Dracula
Invisible man
Dr Jekyll - Mr Hyde
Sherlock Holmes
Phantom opera???? Prefer not
Mummy , doubt it would work. Course Vanessa represents Ammenut
Jack the Ripper or did Ethan represent that
Other literary characters?????

Dracula is already in the show I think? he is the other 'brother' fallen angel, banished to Earth rather than hell (both are after Vanessa)
With the Invisible Man or Jekyll & Hyde I suspect they might want to stay away from them due to comparisons to The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. They have a Quartermain type in Sir Malcolm already, and a Hyde type too with Ethan. Ethan is not meant to be Jack the Ripper btw, though if they did want to go with Hyde he could fit that role.
Dorian wasn't in the Moore books (only his portrait was shown I think) but he was in the LXG film.
Sherlock might be tempting, but I don't know how well he'd fit in with all this gothic horror show stuff.
Phantom...Never liked that one so agreed on preferring him out.
Mummy...I think they have more or less tied that mythology in with the shows vampires? (when Victor dissected one way back it had Egyptian writing under its skin).
Others from the Victorian era? Can't think of any other standouts tbh. Verne's Nemo or Wells' time traveller are the only ones that spring to mind but I'd rule both out.
Oh Zod yes!
"Never underestimate a queer with lovely hair?" Is that what he said?![]()
The [blackout]Caliban/Vanessa[/blackout] scene was so sad and beautiful.
This kinda felt like a series finale...
The last scenes wereEverything is so [blackout]bleak and sad[/blackout].
RIP [blackout]Ethan's hair[/blackout]
It does make sense. I like how the main threat was dealt with early on, allowing for us to see what the outcome meant for each remaining member of the team. It wasn't rushed, it felt satisfying to me.
As for Eva, somehow I think she managed to top herself w/ this episode. lol
This was my thinking as well. I can't imagine there were many good options for a blind person in those days. She might end up a beggar.Caliban didn't let her live to be merciful. He did it to torture her.
