They did have a lot of random star power in the first film, now that I think about it. Interesting.

But the kids are too old, they should have gone ahead while they had the momentum.

I like that they're older. Hopefully the tone of the movie matures with their ages as well.

I just hope this movie has more flair then the last, Lightning Thief just seemed so...bland to me. there were never any big moments of awe, but I attribute that to Chris Columbus. I'm not expecting anything great, but I'm hoping Thor Freudenthal surprises me.

To get those epic imagery/visuals they need to up the budget and I don't see FOX doing that considering the first one barely made that much. And I'm surprised they even greenlit this sequel.

I know there's a Cyclops in the book so it's okay if we see it eating people instead of it just being a monster?

As someone who hasn't read the books but is somewhat familiar with both book and movie, I have to ask- does it screw up the plot to have all the characters aged up? I mean, I saw an ad for "Bereavement" and the awesome rack the girl in that had and assumed it was Diora Baird, but it turned out to be the actress who played Annabelle, who is in her early 20s.

Aren't these characters supposed to be 12?

Hush: But the books are filled with random fights and monsters that have nothing to do with the actual plot. A lot can easily be cut.

Just like they cut a lot out of the first movie? They cut and changed a ton in the movie and it turned to a **** fest. Some of those fights that could be cut out were great character moments and if you cut out that here in Sea of Monsters or even tried to mash Titans Curse in with Sea of Monsters there is still waaaaaay to much story for one movie.

I'm almost 30 years old. I watched the first Percy Jackson just because I couldn't take my eyes off Alexandra Daddario....

she is STACKED.

Emma Watson has a gorgeous face. But like you said, Daddario beats her rack-wise. I think they're pretty much even.

And like the previous poster said, since Nathan Fillion is playing Hermes -- I have to see it too. I can watch the guy in anything.

Alexandra's face is equally as gorgeous as Emma's, I'd say. But it's also a matter of taste. Alexandra has the face of a mid/late 20 year old... I'd say Emma still looks like an 18 yr old... very youthful.

The movie has a Clarisse and Thalia now.

Leven Rambin from Hunger Games is Clarisse and some newcommer from Canada,Paloma Kwiatkowski, is Thalia.

I am REALLY looking forward to this movie. Im one of the few that liked the first lol. Ive always preferred Greek mythology over plain magic like Harry Potter. Plus the lead chick in this is WAY hotter than Hermoine
