There's been a lot of discussion about the future of Pete's marriage. One thing I noticed in his history is that his previous girlfriends never seem to get over him. This is interesting, especially considering all he's been through and the uncertain fate of May (MJ seems safe for now).

And so, we have in the picture

MJ (for the time being)
Felicia (always lurking somewhere)
and now Betty Brandt (who was kinda brazen to Pete. Couldn't tell if she was making a secret play for him or not)

And of course Debra Whitman, though I don't dig her personal trip.

Now PAD mentioned something (I think) about a future female villan for Pete, since in the letters section of FNSM it was said that Pete really doesn't seem to have good female villians that last...the Queen was contrived but had potential. We don't know yet if Arrow will return (she's really out there).

Pete better keep his pants on...it seems as though there are plenty of ladies 'hanging around' willing to remove them, given the right circumstance. :woot:

man, we really need to see more letters sections and less dumb ads, like the new "Hunger" ad that is already tiresome and makes no sense.

I really liked Shriek as a female villian for Spidey. I thought she had so much potential. And what was the female symbiote...Scream?

Lady Ock was pretty cool too. Too bad she was swept under the rug as part of the clone saga :(

Yeah, I always liked Lady Ock and Shriek.
And also (don't flame me for this) Scream, The Trainer, and Deliah were okay in my opinion too. Theres was also this one comical Dr.Light type villain named White Rabbit I think. Not a good villain, but comical. Also, there was that one girl that was possesed by the living Pharoh in #19 of the 90's run on Sensational Spider-man. I think all of the above could be staple in his rogues gallery if used right.

Shrieking was indeed awesome!

I forgot about the White Rabbit :p She was a kooky one :D:up:

I'd love to see Carolyn Trainer come back as a helper to Octavius.

Did you guys know that they originally planned for Venom to be female, but changed their minds at the last minute?

That's interesting.. I never knew that! Thanks!

That would have been cool...almost like an actual blackwidow killing the male counterpart...only without the...uh...deed :o

Shreik is one of my favorite villains of all time, and White Rabbit is a terrible villain. But she's such a nut that you cant help but love her. Wasnt Carolyn Trainer killed in Secret Wars a few years back? Too bad. I would have liked to have seen her as an assistant to Otto. He needs loyal, compentent followers.

Trilogy of terror? Really not sure what the point of this thread is...

MJ has been Peter's only love interest for the past 20 years, and I don't see that changing.

He has history with the Black Cat that makes for an amusing friendship, nothing more.

Betty and Deb... please. :whatever:

IMO - Who cares what gender his villains are? Except, I would hate it if many WERE female.

Yeah, I dont quite understand either, but what the hell.

I wouldnt want many of his villains to be female either, but there should be more than there are. Shreik was a great villain and Carolyn Trainer and Delilah had potential. I'm just sorry that they are being ignored.

....just kidding....I'll shoot someone when and if that happens....maybe Stephen Harper?....I've said too much...

If Gwen Stacy comes back... well lets just say there will be alot of supportive friendly hugs in the near future. Seriously, they shouldn't create a pandamonium like that in Peters life. That would be the cruelist thing to happen to him so far. And this is the guy who watched GG kidnap his baby.

I actually did hear that a while back
Good thing they did, or else Venom wouldn't be the way he is today'
And like you said, if Gwen came back, that would suck for everyone.

Don't forget about Silver Sable. She really gave Spidey a hard time back when I was a kid. Around the late 80's/early 90's maybe, I can't remember for sure.

Well...maybe trilogy of terror is a bit over the top. But in the hands of all these 'creative geniuses' you never know. Since Joey Q is TFOAEIM (The face of all evil in Marvel) he might try bizarre storylines to bust up the marriage. And of course, in FNSM #21 Betty declares she's never stopped loving Peter. (to his credit he was shocked) Felicia is always a friend but let's not kid ourselves...she's never hidden the fact that given enough opportunity she'd jump back in. Deb's just weird and conflicted. And Gwen's daughter only quit hitting on Pete because she felt guilty about MJ's feelings and then pretended she was never interested). But we'll see if a new female villan pops up like PAD indicated.

JQ... alais "The face of all evil in Marvel" (TFOAEIM) ... I like it. :woot:

May-be we could shorten it to TFOEIM. Easier to say.

I've been struggling to not disolve into some seriously unladylike language when talking about TFOEIM... thanks for the assist. :cwink:

I agree with people saying that "The Shrieking" was an awesome storyline. It's a shame that Shriek never had a writer come and utilize her full potential as a character. Taking the nature of her powers and personality, she could have made for some very interesting confrontations with Spider-man.

She's easily one of my favorite villains ever.

How could it be no one mentioned Spidey's greatest, most fearsome, most lethal, most earth-shakingly dangerous female foe? Of course I'm referring to the one, the only...JOYSTICK! :oldrazz:

Geeeezzz... you're making me wish that they bring her back now...
