i thought jor-el created the PZ...so he should know how to unlock prisoners n how to keep prisoners locked in it..maybe he has a secret verbal password only he can open,..and waa-la! ...clark is set free in space (since season 6 will be continious ..n not 3 months later (cuz then metropolis will be gone, n martha will be dead..so it cant be 3months time period)..so from the 5 minutes or w/e time he spent in space, his fear of heights died out, n ...low n behold..clark will superspeed fly down to save mommy and wifey

Maybe Brainiac's virus will cause some missiles to be launched & one of them will be lucky enough to hit the Phantom Zone & destroy it. When the Phantom Zone is destroyed will Zod's cronies also be released, or is each person in there own individual Phantom Zone so there would be no chance in them getting out when Clark does?

Maybe Clark's hand power (which is a more powerful version of his heat vision) will play an important role in how he gets out of the Phantom Zone. You know he used it when he turned a piece of coal into a diamond for Lana, so he could use that & try to blast out. Isn't a Kryptonian supposed to be rendered powerless when they are in the Phantom Zone anyways?

Lol, that's seems somewhat silly... I never knew there was a rule against talking about a possible connection to the new film, superman returns. I apologize... though I don't quite understand why speculating about something like this isn't allowed, I thought with patty's love for routh, someone would agree, but alas, I'm dissapointed... but hey, I'm powerless to stop them... do what you will, mods...

Next time though, it'd be nice to recieve a PM from Morg or whoever it is censoring my idea, telling me about how it's not allowed for some reason. I meant no harm and would have obliged had they said anything... maybe they tried but the board crashing stopped them?.

It may be possible though.... (Who honestly expected Zod to posess lex?) And it woud explain why he's unrecognizable as superman later in life. If it does happen and the new actor, not necessarily Routh, but somone other than Welling becomes a vessel for Clark, I'd think it were inevitable for the show to end that way.

*Most* fans would rather keep the franchises separate; it's probably the one thing everybody agrees on. It's bad enough the Chloe-morphing-into-Lois theory starts so many debates, but at least those are funny. SV's Clark morphing into SR's version is ABHORRENT to some folks, and that would be on both sides of what's become a very defined fence - with wicked deep "post" holes.

Why did Zod enter the Zone and loose his body and Clark wont?

How does Clark, who didnt even know the Zone existed, escape in 3-5 minutes when it took Zod years?

The follow on ep really needs to provide some reasonable answers to those 2.

Jor-El explained it in the Fortress to Clark. Apparently, they (Kryptonian council - or whatever) deemed it necessary to de-corporealize Zod so that he *couldn't* escape. I have to watch the ep again to be able to quote the exact bit of dialog, but it was something along those lines.

That's part of the cliffhanger. I'm thinking SV's version of the PZ isn't as "permanent" as Donner's version, though even the latter wasn't permanent for Zod, Ursa and Non.

Yes, They need to give us something just a little more plausible, (I know alien with super powers yada yada) for how he gets out. They can't, well shouldn't have him simply find a key his dad lost last time he checked a prisoner in or something. They should really put something together that works and takes thought not just provide an easy out.

Aren't there Rumors that Laura is supposed to be seen early Season 6 ? Why not while Clark is in The Phantom Clark can see & find out first hand how Zod & Braniac betrayed Clarks Biological Parents & Destroyed his Home Planet & here is a little twist. Clark is able to INTERACT with the People of Krypton while in The Phantom Zone so he warns his Father & Larua about what Zod is planning & this is how they find out in advanced about what is going to happen (Smallville Universe stuff) but it is to late no matter what & in the Smallville Universe this is how Clarks Parents know to send him away to Earth. Clark HIMSELF tells them & warns them & he can see for himself how his real Father & Mother really is & Clark witnesses the death of his Parents & home Planet & he can not do anything about it. Obviously Clark will be safe no matter what since hes not REALLY THERE & all but this would be AWESOME if you ask me.

Theory of the year. The only thing I would add is that after CK seeing how good his parents and Kryptonians are and seeing the death of his partents first hand at the hands of Zod throws him over the edge. He is able to trust Jor-El fully and learn the "knowledge of the universe" and learn more of his abilities. He then escapes from the PZ and saves the plane and takes care of the world as he should going city by city and stopping the havoc.
