I'm curious how the Multiverse plays a role on Thunderbolts / New World Order - like these two seem very grounded and Earth based compare to the other films.
Even if they don't deal with the multiverse directly, they might still tie into the narrative that's building toward Kang and Secret Wars some other way. For instance, the first Thor movie didn't feature any infinity stones (at least not until the post credits), but it introduced Loki and Erik Selvig who were both instrumental in Thanos's plan to invade earth. Or, say, Ant-man didn't have any infinity stones, but it introduced the story element of Pym particles which ended up becoming instrumental to undoing the snap in Avengers Endgame. So even things that don't explicitly tie into the larger narrative might still tie into the larger narrative.
Thunderbolts has to be the least interesting ip to get a mcu movie. Looking at the sdcc map, its definitely the "Inhumans Nov 2018" of the group, but unlike Inhumans, the movie is happening.
Like I'm hoping its a 1 and done and we don't get a Thunderbolts II and III.

Thunderbolts is a much cooler IP than Inhumans. I see the Thunderbolts movie basically being something like a Dark Avengers. You can bring back some villains from past movies and that could be really cool. I am pumped for it.
As for how they can be relevant to the Saga at hand. Well
Lots of rumors swirling about Doom maybe being behind the team, but they don't know it. So whatever Doom needs them to do will be vital
As for how Cap 4 will be relevant, I am still guessing it is loosely based on Secret Empire with Hydra Cap. Who in the MCU would have to be a variant. That is just my guess based on my gut, though

Cool that we got a date for Fantastic 4 now. Will be interesting to see how cap 4 goes with new lead. The last 2 cap movies where so good. With avengers secret wars does that mean tom, toby, Andrew will be back has spiderman again? I dont know a lot about comics out side of the movies. But I think I have heard something about secret wars in the comics has multiple Spiderman's or something. Oh I see that is phase 6 for the next 2 avenger movies. I also expect a 4th mcu spiderman movie will happen at some point in like 2024 or something.
There is at least one more Phase 5 film that has yet to be announced. Many believe that it'll be announced at D23 that Deadpool 3 will get the February 2024 slot they still have reserved. DP3 has a director and writing team and have been working closely with Marvel's art/production department already.
If Deadpool 3 is tied into the introduction of mutants and the introduction of mutants is their big headline news story for D23 then it makes perfect sense that they would exclude it from this presentation even if it is the Feb 2024 movie.
And I also don't think there's much point in speculating that DP won't be part of the MCU when the opposite has repeatedly been confirmed already.

If that means we're now going to get more and more mutants, including actual x-projects like 'The Mutants', leading up to mutants being a big deal in Secret Wars (which seems plausible), then Marvel is going to want to make a big announcement out of that. So it would make sense to take all the mutant related stuff out of this presentation and put it in its own separate presentation at D23. And that would certainly include Deadpool, even though I doubt he would be the headline news of that presentation. This would be a very logical reason for leaving out certain phase 5 and 6 projects which fit better in that presentation than this one.
Well isn't Namor going to be a mutant as well. Thats 2... well 3 if we count the Professor's appearance in Multiverse of Madness and everyone knows what he is.
And you ignored the part in which February 2024 was eXcluded in phase 5 yet we have those 8 blanked spots in phase siX.
I didn't say Deadpool should have been announced. I'm questioning why the Feb 2024 slot was eXcluded in that presentation, if it is still happening.
The exact number of mutants we theoretically have right now (and Namor won't debut until after d23) doesn't in any way change the fact that *if* those appearances are the beginning of a strategy to reveal mutants over the next few years as a major part of the current arc, MS may very well want to make a big separate announcement about that at D23.
And I didn't ignore anything. I specifically said that 2024 date may have been skipped over *because* it's Deadpool and they would prefer to announce it together with the other mutant related projects rather than doing everything chronologically.
MCU made too much time to expose mutants existing in the world!
main universe 616, we have just MS Marvel mutation easter egg recently. Before, Urso Mayor is just "supposed" to be the 1st mutant character appearing in MCU, not official
I'd rather see a Hawkeye movie than sit through another siX episode Xeries for Hawkeye, with dodgy production values. A movie would have a bigger reach as well.
