Phobias

ah! forgot one, i have days i am really really scared of germs

Acro (the good lord built me low to the ground for a reason)

&

Claustro :csad:

i think you should fear a premature heart attack if you eat them:oldrazz:

nah...i live on the edge me...he's a bit annoyed but still it's worth it:up:

(NOTE: for the joke mentioned previously in this post you must understand that i refer to the edge of U2 fame and use the other meaning of the word to get a comical spin on it:dry: )

I'm gonna get flamed so bad for saying this, but I may as well be honest.

I have what some would describe as a minor case of homophobia.

Which makes me feel like a jerk, because alot of my friends are either gay or bi. So I usually keep my thoughts to myself.

Honestly, I don't think it's a horrible thing to say you don't approve of gays, but just show the respect and go with the live and let live mentality. People that say you're an evil person for not liking the gay lifestyle is akin to those people that go nuts about vegans or non-smokers or something like that. I know that's nowhere near the same, but the technique is in the ballpark.

one of the things i'll never understand.

i can at least comprehend not liking gay people, but to actually be afraid? that's beyond me.
I understand it...its like any phobia really. At a younger age people have negative connotations about the subject...in this case homosexuality, but I dont get peaches  Whats the deal!?

My phobias are:
needles (shots...UGHZ!!!)
enormous crowds

i think i respect gay people more than straight people.

i can walk down the steet and hold my girlfriend's hand, and no one bats an eye.

but a gay couple risks negative attention everytime they show any kind of affection, no matter how small.

when you can do that, even in the face of adversity, i think that's real love.
but straight couples actually go through the same. Inter-racial couples and couples of different religions face negative attention a lot. And some gay couples hide their homosexuality. I just think everyone deserves equal respect.

Oh, most definitately. I'll never have the audacity to tell another person who he or she can or cannot be with. In fact, I can't stand to see people doing that. I just feel a little uncomfortable around gays, I guess. I'm trying to work on that, though.

That's kinda odd. For a straight man to have a lot of gay or bi friends.

You're telling me. Actually, come to think of it, I don't think I know any gay men. All of those friends I mentioned are female. They all know how I feel, and they know I feel somewhat guilty about it, but I think they all understand that I do at least respect them and try not to be petty enough to let something like that ruin a good friendship. I've seen lots of people stop being friends because one person was gay/bi.

Maybe you're uncomfortable, because same-plumbing sex is... ...kinda weird. ;)

When he highlighted that quote, that you have A LOT of gay friends, its because he's looking for signs you're an uneducated conservative, Blaque ;)

Poetic Chaos, is it possible you have a CONSERVATIVE phobia?

I'm confused.

Wasps. If I can see them, I don't even break a sweat, but if I can hear something buzzing and I can't see what it is I sometimes literally break out in hives. I'm alergic to the point where one stings me I'm in ICU for a day or so while the swelling goes down. I've trained myself that if I can see them I'm ok though.

I know someone so phobic of cotton wool that if you put a ball of it in her bag, she has a panic attack. I bought a whole bag of cotton wool face wipes and put them all over the college. Cruel, but funny.

And that's where he would be wrong. I'm actually an uneducated liberal.
