Transformers Pictures Discussion Thread

If you look really hard and zoom in, there's a tree between two buildings in the back.

Are you sure, man? This is one thing I refuse to believe. Where did you hear this?

I mean, is it just a rock... like a big asteroid (all iron)? I can live with that. That's kinda OK. But you're not saying there's *organic* stuff (vegetation, microbes, etc) on the planet, are you???

Well when I say organic I kinda mean barren like planetoid, like Mars I guess, obviously having trees and such would just be stupid, of course there is the case of Beast Machines, but we wont go there.

i found waldo.. but no trees.

This movie Cybertron isn't even close to the original thing. This new one is part organic, while the original was fully mechanical, hell it could even transform just like Unicron.
......doesnt make krypton any better..lol

Ugh. A a planet misses the point of Cybertron. Planets have atmospheres, active cores (volcanoes, etc), tectonic activity, bla bla. An iron rock asteroid would be OK. Anyway, where did you hear this? The novelization? Where?

Anyone notice that big structure in the back looks like exactly like the COBRA Terrordome base?

i hope the flaoting cube doesnt look that fake in the movie.

looks prety random there.

Argh I'll have to do some digging again to find it, but it was somewhere on the transformers2005 boards I think or where the writers sometimes reply. I think the prequel novel makes reference to a lake that was once on Cybertron, so water would definatly tell us that Cybertron has organic properties. At first glance it does look like a giant rock, much like the moon with all those craters and stuff.

The interesting thing is, it looks kinda like downtown Tokyo.

I was surprised looking out our hotel room window to see literally miles upon miles of densely packed buildings as far as the eye could see.

As far as the description of Cybertron from the novel:

From his eyes a three-dimensional image appeared in the clear night air: a view of an incredible battle taking place on an alien world composed of metal and other nonorganic compounds. As the view shifted, Sam and Mikaela were exposed to scenes of flaming craters, destruction on an unimaginable scale, mile upon mile of total devastation. The surface was littered with the limbs and heads and other pieces of lifeless machines. And everywhere there was fire, and smoke, and death.

OMG! It's Skynet/Terminator! :P

Of course, after a war that's lasted for millions of years, I could see it being like this, with the 'golden age' looking something like the videogame wallpaper.

from this view Ratchets got a very distinct face. Not walrus like but more like Rattrap in beast machines IMO

Those're some gorgeous graphics. They look almost as good as the movie!

YEAH, THE GAME LOOKS GORGEOUS, THE CHARACTER MODELS LOOK FANTASTIC AND THE LIGHTING AND SHADING LOOK REALLY NICE, I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY IT!!!:D:up:

Hmm that Cybertron loos a little Earthy to me. Lots of what look like Skyscrapers. I would have prefered the planet to feel more alien. Although I am aware that is just the game.

I noticed no one posted a screenshot from the HD version of the "freakout" TV spot. I decided to take one to show for those who haven't seen it yet, all autobots are in the shot. Ratchet i can't see him clearly though but i know he's there as Ironhide lifts his arm to keep him back. It looks like he's behind the tree/bush. Here's a lighter version followed by the original version:

I think it's looks pretty cool. But, if what AvangardeX says is true- that it's suppossed to be a regular planet with lots of buildings on it (kinda like Coruscant)- then it gets a big thumbs down because it missed the whole point of Cybertron I think.
