Transformers Pictures Discussion Thread

Megatron looks really good there. I love the sun glinting off of the metal.

BB looks amazing and damage:csad:. Megatron on top of the building looks incredible.

Awsome pics!

Sweet ass pics. Is it me or does that pic of Megs on the top of that building almost looks like a cut-and-paste job? I totally agree that these images are of the new trailer.

I can see poor little Bumblebee going through some rough s**t during the movie, I really really hope his character is captured well so we all feel sorry for him.

Different Jazz's. I'm guessing the one in the back was from ILM while the one from Lunchables was done by some promo art team.

Naw. I was put off by that "Killer" thing too. Seems inane to me. This movie ain't exactly targetting the brightest bulbs. But, it's not a big deal. We knew that as soon as Michael Bay was attached.

I am a well educated and intelligent professional in the film industry. I work with cutting edge technology, I enjoy many different types of artistic mediums and consider myself a person of taste and culture. This is not meant to sound pretentious, I am merely making a point. I have enjoyed several of Michael Bay's films. They are not high art, but they are fast paced, rollercoaster thrill rides with big set pieces and grand themes. He doesn't write his scripts, he directs big films competently and under budget. He is good at his job, he is good at what the studios hire him to do.

I hear all the time about how much Bay is ruining Transformers when there is something they don't like, but singing praises to any one BUT Bay when they see something they like. HE DIDN"T WRITE THE FILM. He is not even an executive on the project. In theory he could have been fired at any time had an executive disliked the direction of the film. So either Bay gets ALL the blame and ALL the credit, or you start going after the people that are really responsible for the mediocre script and the marketing of the project.

Jazz does look awesome... Even without the visor he looks great IMO.

Except for that creepy face. Otherwise I have to agree.

Yeah he looks great, funny how he gets crapped on in the movie though.

Jazz has a bad case of crow's feet. :down

And I don't understand why the only Transformer with a human face has to look like Freddy Krueger.

At this point, Blind_Fury, I'm just glad he looks like a Transformer.

It's still pretty bad. You could have 20 small time SFX companies do concept art of a live-action G1 Jazz and 95% of them would look a million times better than that piece of s--t.

I understand the onslaught of horrible Bayformer designs causes fatigue in any hardcore TF fan but we cannot lower our standards. That's exactly what the producers want.

At the same time it could be worse.

That doesn't mean design is acceptable and fans shouldn't demand better.

I look at the Iron Man costume and I don't demand better. Why? because I understand it would be extremely difficult to do a better Iron Man suit. The Bay designs are the opposite. Any small time SFX company could do far better concept art based on G1 Jazz.

I'd hate to think what Micheal (Pearl Harbor missed the point) Bay and Don (LXG, Double Dragon) Murphy would've done with the Iron Man suit. But then their supporters would be on every thread defending every pointless change, never for once asking themselves if something far better was possible.

I have to agree with you. Up until this point I thought Cflash was very respectful towards the opinions of those who are excited to see this film. Now I truely wonder. Suggesting that only simple minded people will find enjoyment in this movie is pretty simple minded and disrespectful.

I said no such thing. Read what I did say and what I was responding to... in context.

I have not read the script yet but, is it really that bad. Could someone please tell me what elements of the pt make it horrible with the exception to Bumblebee being mute?

Your sig actually says it all. John Rogers (writer: Catwoman, The Core) wrote the script. Don't believe people that say it's been "rewritten." If it was, John Rogers would not still get PRIMARY credit for the STORY. It's HIS story. It was greenlit, storyboarded, used to approve budget, and followed through on. Orci/Kurtzman have only touched it up per Bay's wishes for his style and dialog (which in and of itself is a bad thing IMO).

That is simply not true. You would need to have an understanding of the policies of the Screenwriters Guild to understand what I mean. Because he was the first writer hired for the project he has to get credit, even if NONE of his original text remains. Secondly, Orci and Kurtzman were hired before Michael Bay was hired and their rewrites were initiated by the studio and Hasbro.
