You know, going into this I never expected the Transformers to be using swords and melee weapons. I think it's friggin' cool on the filmmakers part to include so many. Really stays true to the cartoon's roots.

yeah same here. A retractable axe kind of weapon is straight out of the cartoon. this is truly a surprise, and a welcome one.

Now that I've seen the TV Spot, thanks for the link btw, I'm convinced it's Ironhide. Because right before that scene you can see Ironhide Transforming into robot mode. Also there aren't a lot of Transformers in the Movie with giant guns mounted to both their arms.

Also notice that his build is way too buff to be Starscream. And he's all black and we both know neither Starscream nor Megatron are painted black.

I don't think it's Ironhide because he would not shoot down u.s jets.

It's Starscream. In the first pic he has a triangular frame like his fighter jet mode and he has thrusters the same color as his fellow incarnations. Plus, he has a small head, chicken legs and white plating.

I'm really feeling Prime's movie weapon. I would have preferred the energy axe, but the superheated sword looks equally awesome. Megatron's Cybertronian jet form is...well, it's it. I think the tank option would have been better...Starscream has the skies covered. Thundercracker and Skywarp are what should be used if concerns are raised on that front.

It's Starscream in bot form flying around with his jets. This has been verified by reviewers also.

He is flying in Bot form, shoots out the top wings and engines, and then swats the left wing of the jet with his right hand to flip it.
