From where?
I thought Barbossa went back to being an old fashioned pirate at the end of 4?
Jack doesn't have the Pearl. Barbossa is working for the Crown. Are they ignoring OST?![]()
Seems they are.

Sao Feng was underused too.
Yeah, that part in the Locker with the Sparrow hallucinations was a drag. You were talking about that, right?
http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/...view-star-wars-beauty-and-the-beast/95949150/Not only will fans get to see Johnny Depp’s famed Captain Jack Sparrow as an 18-year-old, but the new Pirates is an “enormous” fifth chapter in the swashbuckling series, promises producer Jerry Bruckheimer. “It’s really edgy, still has the humor, but (offers) some real tension.” Everybody’s looking for the Trident of Poseidon, an artifact that will supposedly cure all curses, and the list includes Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), the new captain of the Flying Dutchman who’s trying to free his father from the curse of Davy Jones; young Henry (Brenton Thwaites), who’s searching for his own dad, and astronomer Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario); the decrepit and ghostly Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem), who last encountered Jack when he was a teenager and now wants to kill the infamous buccaneer; and Sparrow himself. Those wondering if Jack will get enough screen time with this big an ensemble need not worry, Bruckheimer says: “He’s still the star of the movie.”
I'll choose to take that as a mistake on the writers part, and consider the story to be Will is trying to find the trident to free both his dad and himself. That would make far more sense. Will Turner is trying to free his own father from the Dutchman? Last I checked, his father was free to leave, but he chose to stay. On top of that, why are they repeating that plotline when it had already reached a conclusion?

Will Turner is bound to ferry the souls of those who died at sea to the afterlife. If he does anything else, he will become fishface, just like Davy Jones.
