Pixar's Inside Out

Just came back from watching Inside Out this evening, and I must say that from all the summer movies I have seen thus far (AOU, Mad Max, JW), Inside Out is probably my favorite one. It doesn't have cool superheroes, scary dinosaurs, and crazy dudes in a desert, but like the best Pixar movies ever made, it made you laugh, cry, and feel empathy toward the characters. And the movie stays with you long after you left the theatre. I'll be surprised if Inside Out doesn't sweep all the awards next year, because it definitely deserves it.

Just saw this tonight. In short, Inside Out is quite possibly my favorite Pixar film after Toy Story. The subject matter is sophisticated and typically explored in live action dramas; yet it's delivered just as well in an animated feature. Not only that, it's funny, heartwarming and beautifully rendered. Inside Out is just a brilliant film all around. I can't wait to buy this on Blu-ray.

10/10

Saw it tonight with my girlfriend. Can't remember the last time I left a movie that impressed. She felt the same.

Inside Out is my favorite movie of the summer so far.

My wife and I went to see it. She enjoyed it, but was disappointed. I didn't really like it. I'd give it 4/10. I did notice a lot of sobbing coming from the audience at the end of the movie, but I found the movie to be predictable.

The most memorable part of the movie was the interaction between mother and father. It was funny stuff, and I wish there were more of that.

"Lava you" was agonizing boring. It was a cute story, but it lasted way too long. I did enjoy the visuals of the short. The "fly-by" of the mountain landscape was beautiful.

Pretty good movie, not the absolute masterpiece that some are making it out to be but good none the less.

It was basically giviy you a visual metaphor of depression with Joy being absent.

As someone who moved to his 5th state by the age of 16, this movie really speaks to me and my sister...who underwent many of these growing pains at an early age. Hard to make friends, lost in a new town...emotional stuff.

I'm not sure how they could pull off a sequel. The true character change/revelation was
how sadness can be useful to humans.
Sure, Riley could get older and have another main life change, but how would the emotions represent that? I'm sure it's possible; I just can't imagine it.

I was surprised that nobody ever has more than five emotions. Even the adults only have five.

I was also surprised that apparently
eleven year olds can board a bus that's going to another state in a major city and nobody questions it. Aren't there laws about minors traveling alone?

Inside Out is finally the number one movie. It edged out Jurassic Turd. 29.77m IO to 29.24m Jw.

Congratulation on finally being the bride(groom).

Kind of a Pyrrhic victory, ain't it?

Congrats to Inside Out! It deserves to be #1 last week too but I'm glad to see it finally edges out JW. Yes, Minions will win this week, but I think IO will have strong enough legs to withstand Minions in the upcoming weeks.

Saw this today. Loved. More of this please, Pixar.

And by "more", I don't mean sequels. I mean make more original s***. :o

I don't know if my heart could take more of this. This film nearly broke me. :funny:

We really don't have another original movie besides The Good Dinosaur coming up, do we? Just Finding Dory, Cars number whatever, Toy Story 4 and The Incredibles 2? Which, granted, I'm excited for the last two, but. :o

Original or not, I just want good films. But I rather nothing this emotionally raw for awhile. It was like watching Wall-E got kicked in the nuts by the first 5 mins of Up.

There's quite a few more, but an NYTimes article reported Pete Doctor decided they couldn't handle more than 5 characters running around. (He's probably right. :funny: )

My mom traveled to school on a crowded city bus by herself when she was 5 or 6. (This was in Taipei, Taiwan.) Apparently that's not a thing anymore. :oldrazz: Pixar does tend to act as if we still live in the 50s sometimes...

I don't know if I've said it already, but I didn't think IO was all that. I like the concept and voice acting was good... but it didn't quite work, I would've liked to see it take place when Riley's in high school or facing her move to college. (But that would've taken it into PG-13 territory.)

If I want an engaging story about an adolescent girl undergoing an emotional journey when her family moves, I'll go with Spirited Away instead.

Saw it. It was amazing. Nuff said.

Did it puzzle anyone else that
once Bing Bong faded out, Joy never mentioned him again, despite promising him that she would make Riley remember him? She walks away from the edge of the Dump and that's pretty much it as far as his character goes. I was also a little surprised that Sadness didn't even ask where he was. I expected at least a mention at the end of the movie, some sort of call back to his character, but there was nothing. It's as if once Riley forgot him, so did Joy and Sadness. Which is weird because Pixar is usually very good about making sure that all the emotional buttons are pushed.

This weekend, Inside Out became just the 3rd Pixar film to top $300M+ domestically, joining Toy Story 3 & Finding Nemo.

Hey Friends,

I have a CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS of all the five emotions in form of video from the movie Inside Out. Which I will be sharing soon with you all....

I love Disney and Pixar movies so I'll definitely going to watch this movie once is released in the Middle East on 6th of August 2015.
