Yes, not to mention it has one of the most meager launch numbers for the last gen and 'next-gen' consoles. I guess this is a bid just to get people all excited about it 'selling out' when there's so little in circulation that it's expected.

I personally think that Microsoft should just give up on Japan and concentrate everywhere else.

Only 60,000 more to be precise

There weren't a whole lot of units available at launch to meet the high demand. So to say that the 360 selling out at launch is really not saying a whole lot.

Yes, and Japan is releasing even less than that of the PS3. And it seems with Sony's allocations already done, the 360 still had more in supply than the PS3 did. Which is to say that the PS3 selling out is even less impressive than the 360, so I don't really understand why anyone would bring up that it 'sold out'.

Xbox 360 launched with 325k in America and 100k in Japan. Sony launched with 88K in Japan and will come close to their 400k for America in Japans day 1 is any indication. Sony will be shipping 100k PS3's per week in Japan.
