Plot Thought Wrong

Now I know you're gonna think less of this just cause I'm a newbie, but I've been watching this forum for a long time now, and I'm getting tired of people's perspectives of the plots. I agree with a lot of people and can see how everyone's predictions can work, but you have to think of the comis! For god's sake, sure sandman can be blown away by a big wall of water, like it's shown, but clips also reveal him beating the crap out of spider-man at a construction site! this means that the only good way to kill sandman (if he does die, which is likely) is the way it happened in the comics, which is a bite from Venom! That would totally make the movie better, and more serious in many ways. The shots of MJ crying and Peter crying ( I know there's a lot, but two of them match) take place in a hospital either at the deathbed of Aunt May, Harry, or Gwen. What you also have to question is the fact that Peter is wearing his costume in those shots. Also, with Harry getting his face f'd up, he has almost no choice but to use the original costume to use the true strength given by the goblin legacy. These are only a few of the many things that I've noticed people totally missing around here! I know I've gone in a crazy order telling this stuff, but my head is just focused on putting this stuff out in the open. I can't be the only guy in the world that thinks Venom biting a guy made of sand and actually killing him...is THE worst comic book writing EVER. So for THAT to make it into an actaul movie...well. No chance.

First of all Spiderguy, welcome to the boards! Your topic is a good one, and these vets around here don't have any reason to rip apart your pride as they've done with so many other n00b thread starters in the past.

I think that the Plot Summary/Q&A is overrated. When pictures and other small bits of information started appearing on the internet is when the script summary first arose. So I'm going to make a long shot prediction by saying that some of the things that happen at the end of Spidey 3 aren't going to happen the way the script summary states.

Things such as:
1.) Eddie Brock's Death - Raimi loves his sympathetic villains. Sure Eddie is probably going to doctor a photo and get fired, but he's going to get fired because of Symbiote Pete. He gets kicked out on the street and looks like a total druggie by the time the symbiote attaches to him. All he is probably going to do is kidnap MJ, so does that really make him deserve to die? No, I don't think Eddie will die. Harry will die because of Eddie, but the symbiote will leave him and try to reattach to Pete, and after Pete finally gets rid of the symbiote, Brock will be thrown in prison. It only makes sense. The only thing that will convince me to let Eddie be killed off will be...

2.) Aunt May's Death - I defintely think Aunt May should go, whether it be because Venom scares the **** out of her or simply because she's an old woman. She's done her duty to help Pete make good decisions, and her death will convince Pete that he has to get rid of the suit. So saying that, I vote for Aunt May's death via old age.

3.) Gwen Stacy lives - She won't die, its that simple.

4.) Mary Jane lives - They definitely aren't going to build up her character of the last two movies to suddenly kill her off. I very much want Kirsten to return to play the role, not because she is a fantastic actress or because she's a great MJ, but if Raimi and Tobey and all of the others return for a 4th, its imperrative that she return as well.

5.) Sandman lives - The true sympathetic villain for the movie. Stealing to provide for his sick daughter. I don't like the idea of him simply walking away from the battle royale if his daughter shows up. I'm really hoping that there is a better means of closure to his character in this movie.

I think it would be a real kick in the ass if Peter lashes out at Aunt May for no reason and then the next day she dies of old age. So he decides to get rid of the suit. It's like a mirror of Uncle Ben's death almost.

first of all. aunt may lives, Gwen lives, and mj lives. sandman doesn't die. oh and as for peter being responsible for aunt mays death, that will never happen. sandman dieing by a bite from venom in my opinion wouldn't work. by the way, the shot of mj and peter crying with peters costume on is at the construction site when harry dies.

Unfortunately we don't know that for sure. That's all pre-movie plot summary coffe house crap. You have no idea what really is going to happen until the end of March when the book comes out. That's all speculation at best.

More than one source have provided 100% accurate information as to what we have seen so far. MJ, Gwen, and Aunt May live, and Sandman will more than likely live. And when the book does come out, I can unfortunately guarantee you it will not have the exact same plot and occurences as the movie will.

Well the Revenge of the Sith Novelezation was the same as the movie.

And yeah we've gotten 100% accurate information on parts that weren't the end of the movie. Notice how with the exception of about 3 shots (Pete with the thing around his neck, Spider-Man on the cab surrounded by Venom webbing, and the recently released shot of Spidey fighting Sandman with his family in the background) we have nothing about the last battle.

I'm not purposely trying to battle you chaseter, but think about this: The way Sony has been on the prowl for information leaks, don't you think they would've been a bit alarmed when the script summary and the q&a were released? If they change around the ending, it won't be surprising.

Just keep an open mind about it. Nothing is set in stone until we see it with our own eyes.

I think Sony/Raimi are watching for these things. Another rumor circled that Sandman's daughter dies in the final battle...which ultimately makes him stop. But you also have to realize shooting on this film wrapped a while ago...all they are doing is the CGI. If information leaks come out of Sony after filming and during post production, they are more than likely going to be right. And like we both agree...those sources have been spot on. Now to address your thoughts. The thing around Spidey's neck is Venom's web...nothing too spoilerish about that...they are just fighting. The cab Spider-Man is on is the cab that MJ was in when Venom abducted her. We can confirm this because MJ leans out of the cab...well by deduction...Venom rips off the cab to get her out...then again nothing to spoilerish because no big even happens to alter the plot. We know Venom goes after MJ. The last shot you mentioned goes back to that rumor. It is said that Sandman's daughter cries for him not to hurt Spider-Man and so he stops...right before he is about to smack him with the sand mace. That also more than likely happens because Spider-Man would have died which we know he doesn't. I wasn't trying to be defensive either...you are not one of the crazies on here that are either psycho or post the same thing over and over again.

lol, indeed, and dido towards you as well. Hearing that is about the greatest compliment somebody can get on these boards.

What do you think about this: Sandman leaving the battle becuz his daughter doesn't want him to fight Spider-Man...ok, thats fine. But do you think that will be the end of him for the entire movie? I personally hope we get some kind of closure with him.

That's fine kid, I'm just sayin' that maybe since Sony knew about all of this script leak, how long ago was it? A long time, that maybe they changed the ending around a bit. Such as Eddie getting his ass shipped to prison instead of going out the lame way.
