I like Evan Rachel Wood for the role, and also Eva Green. Lately I've been wondering if Haley Bennett would be a good option as well. May be an unpopular choice.

Just like you don't have to cast someone that is bald for Lex Luthor, whomever they cast doesn't have to be a natural redhead IMO.

Besides, for me personally, I actually want her hair colour to be red as opposed to ginger. It's not a deal breaker though, I just would prefer it.

This is Hollywood. When was the last time a franchise casting a female role in their 40s? Even Captain Marvel is going to be played by a mid 20 actress when in reality the character could be older.

I think it is important to get a good age range going, so while Harley is mid 20's, I think the most appropriate one to be in her 40's should be Selina, and Ivy should be in her 30's.

Blanchett is playing a villain. Not a sexy siren. Tilda played a monk in DS.

I'm sure Ayer wants his sirens to be young and sexy. I'm all for casting older actresses but that's just not the reality of ageist Hollywood. If they want to make DC sirens a franchise for the next 4 or 6 years, I can't them casting an 40 year old actress. You already have a 49 years old Nicole Kidman playing Aquaman's mom.

So being of an age where there exists the possibility of your kids having had kids disqualifies someone from being catwoman, even if they are still incredibly sexy, are a good actress, and look like they are in their still in their 30's.
