They're saying its a comic so just believe it. if thats the case then anything can happen and have no reason for it. in one issue Cap can knock out the hulk with one punch with cap saying if bucky can live then i can knock you out with one punch. Just because its a comic book doesnt mean anything can just happen.

Honestly I question Spider-man's origin as well but because I believed it as a kid i sort of accept it now....Bucky surviving the explosion is beyond the realm of belief for me. Yes I know it's a comic but that went into the red for me
that went into the red for you, but you're ok with a drug that instantly doubles a man's body mass making him a perfect human

that went into the red for you, but you're ok with a man being bombarded with gamma radiation (which is in fact quite harmless) becoming a 12 foot tall green giant who can lift mountains

that went into the red for you, but you're ok with 6 mytsical gems which can control Time, Space, Mind, Reality, Soul, and Power, and make a man a god when put together

that went into the red for you, but you're ok with a 300 foot tall giant who eats planets, and on a world thousands of light years away turned a man into a chrome Kelly Slater

have I got all that right?

we dont all have to like something...and that is what turned me off about his run on CA

Thats fine, im not going to tie you up and force you to read it, I just think its a extremely lame reason.

there's a limit

pre-crisis Superman moving the earth around the solar system with no consequences such as the planet caving in, or at least massive earthquakes and extreme temperature changes? don't care for it, couldn't buy it, but it was decades ago and modern writers realized it was far fetched and now don't do anything like that. They even erased it from continuity. We saw the JLA move the moon once in modern times, but it wasn't consequence free

a man surviving an explosion? I can live with it. It's unlikely, but it's possible, and in comics we deal with the unlikely and the impossible all the time

We all have different levels of belief. I dont think he survied the blast but D-man survied almost the same thing..but hes a different power-level then bucky..but for all the pro bucky living ppl..I just gave u a reason that your right. but D-man was all stupid after that happen. Since Ed bru can turn lame characters around try with D-man next.

I've not been involved in this discussion up to this point, but I'll repeat what others have brought up:

IT'S A COMIC

You can suspend a certain amount of disbelief, least of all that someone could survive an airplane explosion (that he didn't even walk away unscathed from)

I mean, you're arguing about whether or not he could survive a plane exploding, but meanwhile he's walking around with a fully functioning cybernetic arm.... and no one's arguing about the realism of that because it doesn't phase them at all
I not arguing about Bucky suriving I just pointed out that he could of died another way. I know it's a comic and it made to entertain people. I don't really care if they make Bucky **** out an entire planet from his third anus as long if it makes a good story. As for Bucky ****ting out a planet makes a good story , I don't know.

actually that was all red for me...hey waitaminute...why am I even reading comics....i think im gonna quit now

i dont understand what the fuss is about. at least bucky isnt the same man he was, and has developed through time. not as a cold blooded killer, but as a soldier and charecter. its hard to believe colossus was brought back and everyone cheered when he should have stayed dead. and everyone argues against bucky, who i believe most people alive today have never had the privilage to know.

Hell I was SUPER skeptical but it was handled so well, and with so much respect for the character I had to go with it...

How and why do they keep making the Cosmic Cube anyway.?

I think the "why?" has something to do with ultimate power. I'm not sure though, it could be just because they want some wicked cool looking paperweights

Seems like thats all its good for its been around for 40years and hasnt done anything important.

I believe all that because I believed it as a kid...however to believe something like that especially with my knowledge of planes and the things I have seen is crazy.

To each their own. I'm not going to FORCE you to read Captain America. I think the reason you're not reading it is rather odd...but...

Hey, with my knowledge of law enforcement and what cops are allowed and aren't allowed to do...everytime I watch a cop movie or show I say to myself, "That cop would be fired in real life". But I let it go, because it's a movie, or a tv show. It's there for an entertainment purpose and for the dramatic effect of the story.

If they were to have kept Bucky dead and it would have been some LMD of Bucky or some kind of cyborg or fake person made from the cosmic cube it would have been L..A..M..E.

L.A.M.E is a new terrorist organization in Captain America.

Latverian
Army
Mass
Exterminators.

L.A.M.E. was actually aquired by and is now a subdivision of H.A.T.E.

And the joke is ruined with a Nextwave reference.....:(
