Yeah, they're designs for the videogame, which means that they're probably very close but not exactly what we'll see on film.

That could be exactly the case.

Either way, whether game or movie images, they are owned by Sony and they are protecting their images.

this actually looks identical to a piece I have seen before! This is from a certain comic artist's piece.. And it might be computer generated right over the comic artist's piece. I forgot the name of the artist.. But he does his Venoms just like this!

These images were not on AICN earlier in the day. Sony didn't have time to hatch a plan and decide to have AICN take them down as some type of cover-up.

that doesn't even make sense. what do you mean Sony didn't have time? if it were in fact a misinformation campaign orchastrated by Sony (though I'm not saying that it was) then it would be Sony who would decide when to submit them to AICN and when to ask for them to be removed.

I guess because it's not a manipulation. A manipulation is one image altered to make it into another. How is this a manipulation?

just because you don't know whether or not it's based off another image doesn't mean it isn't. you need to stop making assumptions. all I'm saying is that there's no reason to believe that the photo is real regardless of whether Sony asked it to be removed or not. as Mephistopheles pointed out earlier Sony had asked that WormyT's manip be removed as well.

That concept art is freaking awesome!

Venom is absolutely gorgeous, Sandman is teriffic, and I think Harry actually looks the best.

I like Harry's glider (am I the only one?!), sword, mask, armor in particular, arm spikes, and everytthing! That's definetly Green Goblin 2 for you!

Man I hope we see more Harry/GG2 in action in the trailer!

arguing that Sony didn't ask for the images to be removed for the purpose of spreading misinformation doesn't make any sense if all you're basing it on is that they weren't on AICN earlier in the day. also, Harry Knowles is a shill for any studio that will look his way which is why it's ridiculous to trust anything you read on his site.
