TDK appears in the latest issue of Production Weekly and is listed as Batman: the Dark Knight. Apparently the first time it has been so.

Here is the entry:

Possibly the title has changed?

Huge thanks to the sharp-eyed fabman for pointing this out. ;)

EDIT: The synopsis has been debunked, people. This thread is just to discuss the possibility of whether the title has changed or not. ;)

I've just checked Production Weekly and, yes, it's the first time the movie is listed as 'Batman: The Dark Knight.'

Thanks. :)

I kinda wish they'd stuck with The Dark Knight. :csad:

Me too. Me too. 'The Dark Knight' was just perfect!

I'd rather they keep TDK. Adding Batman in front of it seems completely redundant. It'd be like saying:

Angelina Jolie: Maneater
Chris Tucker: I only work with Jackie Chan now
Michael Caine: More pimp than your grandfather

...or Crooklyn: Ladies jump on me.

I mean, really, it's just so synonymous with one another, that there's no need for it. :o

did no one else notice the mention of sal maroni in the description?

I'm...seriously tempted to make jokes about false advertising concerning your last example but I completely agree. It's...clumsy. The Dark Knight flows better.

I'm guessing it's the WB concerned about their precious advertising again - "ppl might not know it's Batman! OH NOES! *flail*"

The guy in the Batman costume is not, you know, a huge fricken clue or anything.

I guess they are wanting to have Batman in the title which doesn't surprise me,the only franchise i can think of that doesn't is Bond

Nice find!

Looks like we now have confirmation that Salvatore Maroni is indeed in TDK now!

I see they call the Joker a Serial Killer in the synopsis and i hope nolan has gotten Pacino on the phone

Any scans of Salvatore Maroni?

The synopsis sounds great, but I really, really, really, really hate that they had to put Batman in the title.

Exactly. Just stick a batsymbol in the background of where ever the title is...and people will instantly know it's about Batman. If this is really is a title change, then WB are idiots.

Did they completely miss the fact that CR, one of the biggest hits last year had no Bond/007 in the official title?

NEVAH! :oldrazz:

The WB have the startling ability to miss a lot of things.
